A beautifully presented, spacious, 2 bedroom stone cottage located in a quiet hamlet only 15 mins from Dinan in the wonderful Brittany countryside. With a large open plan kitchen/diner and living room, 2 large bedrooms with original beamed ceilings, large front and rear gardens and an attached barn-indoor play area, the cottage is an idyllic hideaway in beautiful northern Brittany. It is the perfect place in France for you to relax, explore and have a fantastic holiday. The gite is ideal for couples or families with children looking for a self catering holiday in Brittany. It's fantastic location provides you with easy access to a whole variety of places to see and activities to do, from relaxing and watching the world go by in a café in the historic medieval town of Dinan, a gentle boat trip on the beautiful river Rance from Dinan through the Rance valley all the way to St Malo, or you could just lie back and relax on one of the absolutely stunning beaches of the Emerald Coast.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds and euros.
In low season we would consider shorter stays and alternative arrival/departure days to the standard Saturday to Saturday.
Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Saturday but other days will be considered in low season. Guests can arrive after 4:00pm on the day of arrival and must vacate by 10:00am on the day of departure.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed, built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 with twin beds, free standing wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have beautiful beamed ceilings. |

| Kitchen: | The fitted kitchen is spacious with plenty of storage. It is well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday, including an oven/hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, coffe maker and toaster. There is also a dining table, seating six. |
| Utility Room: | The utility area has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room has a feature fireplace with wood burning stove and very comfortable seating, a CD player, television with English Freeview channels, a video and DVD player and a selection of videos/DVDs, and a Playstation and a selection of games. |
| Other: | There is an attached barn which can be used as an indoor play area, it contains a sand pit and a selection of toys for children of pre-school age. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels, not beach towels, and linen are included for 4 guests and are changed weekly. The cottage is cleaned prior to each guests stay. |

Outside
The cottage has large front and rear gardens. There is a BBQ, patio table and chairs, a badminton net and rackets, a 12ft fully enclosed trampoline as well as an attached barn, which you can use as an indoor play area, just in case!
Coast/Beach
The coast north of the gite is known as the Emerald Coast, it is rocky and very picturesque and is just over half and hour's drive from the cottage. It has some absolutely stunning beaches: St Jacut de la Mer, St Cast le Guildo and Le Val-André. Or you can just drive along the coast and find one of the many other beautiful beaches, parking is usually very easy and free.
Golf
There are a number of golf courses nearby, with La Corbinais being only 15 mins from the cottage. Other fabulous golf courses near the cottage are Tréméreuc Golf Club, Golf des Ormes, Dinard Golf or St.Malo Golf and Country Club.
Travel
Brittany is easily accessible, from the UK or Ireland by ferry or by plane, or by excellent roads from mainland Europe. If you are travelling by plane, Dinard airport is less than 25 minutes away from the gite/cottage and Rennes airport is about 50 minutes. Travelling by ferry gives even more options, with the ferry port at St Malo only 40 minutes away, both Roscoff and Caen just under two hours and Le Havre 3 hours away.
Distances
The gite/cottage is located in a quiet hamlet near the edge of the forest of Yvignac, only 2 minutes drive from the village of Yvignac-la-Tour. The village has a boulangerie (bakery), bar and restaurant. 8 minutes away from the cottage is the town of Broons, with more restaurants/bars, a Poissonnerie (fishmongers)), bouchers (butchers) and supermarkets. For anything you can't get there, the hypermarkets of Dinan are only 15 minutes away.
Further details
The gite/cottage is located in a very peaceful loactaion on the edge of the forest of Yvignac, whilst providing easy access to a large variety of places to go and things to do nearby.
The gite is within easy reach of the medieval city of Dinan, the walled city of St. Malo, Rennes the capital of Brittany, the seaside town of Dinard, Cancale and its world famous oysters, the world heritage site at Le Mont St Michel, and Combourg, the château where Chateaubriand lived.
If you want to do something a little more adventurous you could try sailing, windsurfing or kayaking with the saling school at Jugon les Lacs, cycling around the nearby lakes, along the rivers and canals.
If you have children then there is plenty to keep them entertained, there's the wonderful Grand Aquarium at St.Malo, with it's stunning 360 degree shark tank and Nautibus, the zoo and chateau at La Bourbansais, the adventure park at Cobac Park, combine a trip to Le Mont St Michel with a visit to Aligator Bay, or try the huge mazes at Labyrinthe du Corsaire.
If you like markets then there are plenty to keep you occupied every day of the week.

To secure a booking we request a cheque for 30% of the total price, along with a signed booking form. The balance and a security deposit of £200 will be required 8 weeks prior to your holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay at the gite. It is just lovely and so well equipped. We were very impressed. I have to say that your gite was the best equipped one we've ever stayed in!
Rory was delighted with the sand pit, all the toys in the barn and most especially the trampoline! The neighbours were all very friendly, always saying hello.
The location was just perfect, so peaceful and yet it didn't take too long to drive to Dinan or St. Malo. We didn't want to leave at the end of the week and that says it all!
