La Cachette is situated near the end of a private lane at La Baleine (a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty) which leads directly to woodland and a path beside the river Sienne. Fishing is available from the river within 200 yards of the gite. Set in its own private garden surrounded by unspoilt countryside, an excellent French pub/restaurant is within easy 5 minute walk. Other superb walks are possible direct from the house. The market town of Gavray, with its choice of restaurants, banks, shops, supermarket etc is just 5 minutes away by car. A very popular market is held here every Saturday. In 20 minutes you will find the lovely sandy beaches of the west coast, and a choice of golf courses. The port of Granville, the famous 'copper' town of Villedieu Les Poeles, and Coutances with its cathedral are all within 20 minutes drive. Its a wonderful area for sightseeing, e.g. Mont St Michele, Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, St Malo and day trips to Jersey.

Changeover day
Saturday is the preferred day of arrival, however this is flexible depending on bookings. Departure time is 10am. Arrival any time after 2pm.

| Bedrooms: | Light and airy large bedroom with double bed, sofa bed suitable for a child and ample room for a travel cot. Bedside lamps, chest of drawers and matching wardrobe. |
| Bathrooms: | Downstairs shower room with power shower, sink and toilet. Bath and hand towels provided. |
| Kitchen: | The fully equipped kitchen, has new cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, saucepans, oven dishes, wine glasses, crockery, cutlery, carving knives, serving dishes. Also provided are tea towels. Washing machine is available. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge has french doors to the private patio and garden. There is a sideboard, dining table with 4 chairs, two seater sofa and armchair, satellite TV, DVD/CD player with selection of DVDs, and CDs, board games, small library. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen is provided. Guests are welcome to use the washing machine in the owners house opposite. An iron and ironing board and cleaning products supplied in the gite. Rotary line in the garden. |

In Gavray there is an English speaking Doctor, a pharmacy with English speaking chemist. Banks, butchers, bakers, supermarket with petrol station. English speaking Veterinary. Hardware shop, hairdressers etc.
Coutances is 20 minutes away. Here you will find new indoor bowling, ice skating and ice go karting. Indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor swimming pool, squash courts.
At Villedieu le Poeles you will find an indoor swimming pool with saunas.
At St. Lo there is a new indoor swimming complex with shutes and rides.
The port and busy seaside town of Granville has many fish restaurants and shops to choose from. There is the old cobbled town looking out towards the channel isles. Daily excursions from the Port to Jersey. Gardens and fashion Museum of Christian Dior are situated here as well. The internet can be used at the owners house opposite.
Booking notes
On completion of booking form a deposit is payable of £75 per week with balance due six weeks prior to holiday.
The rental includes cost for all linen, gas and electric.
