Changeover day
The changeover day is Saturday. Arrival time is 4pm onwards and departure time is 10am.

Notes on accommodation
Self catering detached villa of 190m2. Ideal two family villa naturally divides into two sleeping areas. Children welcome but sorry no pets allowed. Suitable for elderly/infirm and also wheelchair accessible. No smoking allowed in villa.

Accessibility
For wheelchair users the main entrance through to kitchen, lounge/dining room, bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are all on one level. The shower room in bedroom 1's en-suite will accept a wheelchair and the shower tray is recessed in to the floor of this room. However, we do not have any handrails/special seats fitted. The outside terrace and eating area is also on the same level but the swimming pool is down a couple of steps.
Outside
Large woodland plot providing lots of shade, but uncultivated, and excellent for children to explore. A covered veranda with table and seating for 9 and barbecue overlooking pool. Sun loungers (9) and parasol surround the 8m x 4m heated pool (May - Sep) which has an alarm and is surrounded by fencing with access by latched/lockable gate. Boules area, security gates and covered parking.
Coast/Beach
We generally go to the lake for our beach days which is between 10 minutes and 30 minutes away depending on which part you head for. Heading to the coast Frejus is the nearest beach just over an hour away. We have visited out of season but websites say the sand is excellent for digging sandcastles and there are pedaloes for hire.
Golf
Golf course within one hour at Nans-Les-Pins.
Travel
The nearest airports are Nice and Marseille taking between 1.75 hours and 1.5 hours respectively. Car hire is essential. Driving time from Calais (excluding stops) is about 12 hours and the distance is approximately 1136 km.
Distances
Aups is just under 9km away and this is a fairly cosmopolitan town with a good variety of restaurants, shops etc. Nearer there are Regusse village (5 mins) with a couple of bars and restaurants, bakery, post office etc. and Moissac-Bellevue (5 mins) with a lovely bar with great views.
Further details
As the gate to the Cote d'Azur and the Alpes de Haute Provence, the department of the Var has many visitors. It's beautiful landscape with both mountains and sea and it's sunny Mediterranean climate provide tourists with an exceptional place to visit.
Nearby Moissac-Bellevue at 600m Moissac-Bellevue has an exceptional view that extends from the Esterel massif, through that of the Maures, and on to the Ste. Baume mountains. The village has kept its true Provençal atmosphere with its cobblestone streets. Also nearby Regusse has 15th and 16th c. restored mills (one still grinds flour). Aups which is a little further (9km) has a bit more to offer, including its black truffle market every Thursday from November to February.
In the Verdon Gorges and on the Lac du St Croix it is possible to take part in a variety of physical activities including a pedalo through the Gorge or windsurfing on the lake.

30% deposit payable on booking (or paid in full if within 8 weeks of rental). Balance to be received 8 weeks before rental commences. Security deposit payable - £200 or €300. Directions, key instructions etc will be sent out within two weeks of rental.
