This relaxed, unpretentious Catalan Port offers a fabulous range of things to do. The coast line is a natural marine reserve and so has some of the best snorkelling and diving in the Mediterranean. The Pyrenees rise steeply behind the village offering some spectacular walks - the GR10 which crosses the whole mountain range to the Atlantic coast starts here. The coastal path also offers walkers some very scenic routes. There are boats for hire of all varieties in the months of July and August. Nearby attractions include the stunning port of Collioure (busier and more expensive but well worth a visit) and Spanish ports such as Cadaques are only a short drive away. Equally, if all you want to do is relax then the village offers a very safe, family friendly environment for sun bathing, fishing, swimming and enjoying the multitude of bars and restaurants with their local cuisine and famous Banyuls wine.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival after 1600hrs. Departure by 1100hrs. Visits of less or more than a week may be arranged direct with the owner.

Accessibility
The apartment has a ground floor entrance and is all on one level. However, it is situated on a steep hill that is a brief but energetic climb for those without a car. Roadside parking is available next to the entrance.
Outside
The south facing patio area at the back of the property has a covered conservatory area and an open area. There is a barbecue, patio table with 4 chairs, parasol and 2 deck chairs.
Coast/Beach
The property overlooks the nearest beach which is 3 mins walk away. It is a pebbled beach with safe swimming.

Perpignan airport 50 mins. Carcassonne airport 90 mins. Girona (Spain) airport 90 mins.
Distances
Collioure 10 mins by car. Perpignan 30 mins by car. Ceret and other Pyrenean towns 1-2 hrs. Cadaques (Spain) 90 mins by car. Andorra 2 hrs by car. Barcelona 2.5hrs by car.
Further details
Although a car is necessary to visit other areas, you can reach Banyuls-sur-Mer by train from Perpignan and once there the village has all the necessary shops, supermarkets, restaurants and banks that are open all year round.
