The pool is heated and many summer guests come back in the winter months to enjoy the natural beauty of the region. The Chateau and its Cottage are fantastic properties which have been lovingly renovated retaining a vast array of original features. Both properties are furnished in a period rustic style in keeping with their surroundings without being too formal - no priceless antiques to worry about if you have young children! We particularly welcome families with children and large parties can be catered for.

Notes on accommodation
The Chateau is centrally heated and the Cottage has electric heating. It is child-friendly - although it is a Chateau and furnished with rustic period furniture it is not filled with priceless antiques! There are several swings and play items in the gardens and we have made it as safe as possible for children to play in as it is completely enclosed. The pool is heated effectively with a powerful heater from early April until the end of October. The bunkbedded room in the Cottage is really only suitable for children and the smaller twin in the West Wing is best suited to children as it is off the main bedroom on that floor.
Accessibility
We do now have two downstairs shower rooms, one in each Wing of the Chateau and the East Wing has a downstairs bedroom. We can provide extra foldout beds on request. Some of the pathways outside are old and cobbled so could be a potential danger to those who have difficulty walking. The stairs in the cottage are reasonably steep and as the bathroom is upstairs in the Cottage it may not be suitable for someone with impaired mobility.
Outside
The outdoor heated shared pool is a generous 10 x 5 metres and there are plenty of loungers to go round plus five acres of gardens to lose yourself in. It is open from early April to late October. The five acres of private gardens are traversed by the pretty river Yres. There are some stunning views looking down to the water from the bridges as well as riverside walks within the grounds. There is a formal garden at the front of the property, a huge lawned area at the back which is fenced off where it meets the river so children can play safely in the garden. There are bridges over the river to a secret swing garden area, an orchard and the owners’ very own meditation island which is wonderful for relaxation sessions! There is also a large pond, home to 5 friendly ducks, as well as a large meadow with a 12th century church ruin on it to explore. The meadow is also home to our two ponies and a donkey Pepito (or Pete for short!), who love meeting our guests!
Coast/Beach
It is a 15 minute drive to the lovely beach at Criel Sur Mer - this is a pebbly beach and if you prefer sand, then the beach at Ault is about 25 minutes drive and further north there are the wonderful beaches of Le Crotoy, Quand Plage and Berck. Also within reach are the wonderful beaches south of Dieppe.
Golf
30 minutes to Abbeville and Dieppe which both have fantastic courses. Le Touquet with its world famous courses is less than an hours drive.
Travel
One and a half hours drive from Calais and just two hours from Paris. Dieppe is just 30 minutes drive away. Beauvais airport is an hour and a half's drive away and has direct cheap flights with Ryanair to Galsgow and Dublin. Charles de Gaulle is just over 2 hours away. A car is strongly recommended but not totally essential.
