The perfect holiday hideaway! This charming studio apartment is perched on the hills overlooking the beach at La Figueirette and is the perfect place to chill out. If you're feeling lazy you can just lie on the terrace and admire the stunning sea and mountain views whilst sipping a chilled glass of something. When that gets too much just wander 20m to the generously-proportioned pool which has the same views. If you're feeling more energetic there is a network of mountain tracks that start just behind the apartment. Whether you walk or bike, each turning will thrill you with a new view of the mountains or the breathtaking vista across the bay to Cannes. There's a choice of beaches and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive and the whole area is packed with history, culture and natural beauty. Oh, and shops as well.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. We will be happy to consider discounts for longer lets.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. The best time to arrive is mid- to late afternoon. Departure by 10am. Depending on bookings there may be some flexibility on arrival and departure days.

Bedrooms: The 'coin de nuit' off the entrance hall has twin bunks with storage drawers under.
Bathrooms: The bathroom has an enamel bath with shower unit, vanitory sink with illuminated mirror and shaver point, WC and heater.
Kitchen: The kitchen area includes an electric hob, small oven/grill, refrigerator with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. All crockery and cutlery are provided together with essentials such as garlic crusher, cafetiere, can opener etc.
Living Rooms: The living room has sliding doors to the patio. There is an L-shaped sofa that converts into a double bed; full-height built-in double wardrobe, coffee table/chest, sideboard, dining table, bench (with storage) and 2 stools. Radio/cassette/CD player.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
We supply duvets (one double, two single), pillows and mattress covers. Please bring your own towels, duvet covers and pillowcases. The property should be clean on your arrival and we ask you to leave it clean when you depart.

 

Notes on accommodation
The main room and bathroom have electric heaters, and there is an electric fan in the studio. The bunk beds are ideal for children, and the pool is 20 seconds' from the door. Note that children must be supervised at the pool.

Accessibility
As the apartments are built to 'cascade' down the side of the hill, parking and access is at the top. There are three floors and the studio is at garden level. The stairs are wide and not steep, but there is no lift.

Outside
You may never move from the patio! There is a round table with four chairs and two sun loungers and a small BBQ. The terraced area is well screened and gives directly onto the well-maintained grounds but as access to the pool (which has its own sun loungers, toilet, showers and drink fountain) is from inside the building, you are unlikely to see anyone walking past. The wooded valley just beyond the garden is also part of the 'domaine' and so is completely private. There is a reserved parking space immediately adjacent to the stairs.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is La Figueirette, which is just 2-3 mins by car or a pleasant 15 min walk (perhaps a bit longer coming back!). It's very good for swimming, with a diving platform to swim to during the season. There are two beaches, each with restaurants where you can also hire beds, umbrellas etc. There are several beautiful beaches in Théoule stretching from the Marco Polo restaurant to the Point de l'Aiguille, as well as a miriad of secluded coves up and down the coast.

Golf
There are excellent golf courses all along the coast and inland. The closest are in Mandelieu, less than 10 mins' drive, including one of the oldest in the area - the Riviera Golf Club. The famous Royal Mougins is only about 20 minutes away, and there are several new clubs in the hills around Frejus, Fayence and Grasse.

Skiing
On a crisp Winter day you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace, drive (or take the bus from Nice airport) to Isola2000 for a day on the slopes and be back in time for supper.

Travel
Nice is the nearest airport, about 35 mins drive away. British Airways, Air France, EasyJet and BMI have regular flights to and from Nice. All the major car rentals have stations at the airport. There is also a bus service to Cannes where you can change to a bus that stops on the coast road below the apartment. There is also a train that stops at Théoule. The fast national train, the TGV, also travels on this line from Marseilles to Nice. Time from northern France is about 7 hours.

Distances
Théoule is 5km, Mandelieu 8km, Cannes 17km, Nice 40km, St Raphael 16km, St Tropez 40km, Monaco 55km. Historic places of interest such as Mougins, Grasse, St Paul de Vence etc are between 20 and 40 minutes away. The gorge at Verdon is about 2 hours.

Further details
There are many, many restaurants within easy access. Some are next to the beaches, some along the coast road. All the towns (Théoule, Mandelieu, La Napoule and of course Cannes) have many fine places to eat as well as more casual dining. The nearest shops (including a small supermarket) are in Théoule, where there are also doctors, dentists and a cash dispenser at the post office (La Poste). There is a hypermarket (Géant/Casino) in Mandelieu and Cannes has all the upmarket brand names you could wish for. There are also markets in Théoule (Friday), Mandelieu (Wednesday), St Raphael (Sunday) and Cannes (the famous Forville every day).

Booking notes
We ask for 50% of the rent with booking with the balance payable not less than 60 days before arrival. We ask for a 300€ returnable damage deposit with the balance. The whole amount is due with booking for those made less than 60 days from arrival. Details of how to get to the apartment and where to collect/leave keys will be sent once the deposit is received.
