About the owner
I am a painter and studied at Chelsea Art School & the Slade. I paint in my studio in London as well as in my garden and studio in France. I love the landscape there, the calm atmosphere, the wild birds and flowers.
Have lived in my farmhouse for almost twenty years, and find the local people always so charming and polite.
Designed Ready Steady Go! in the Sixties later directed various TV shows like Coronation Street. Directed Music Videos (Paul McCartney & David Bowie)

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Loved the the landscape, the people and wonderful food! There are lots of markets somewhere nearby every week, and the best butcher, M. Didier Ortalo, in the bastide town of Villineuve nearby. Roads are excellent, access to motorways an hour away North of Figeac.
The Lot river is just 15 minutes away set in a marvelous deep gorge, and the beautiful Aveyron passes through the ancient VilleFranche de Rouegue
Unique benefits of the property
The old kitchen is the heart of the house with my salon off one way & the master bedroom the other. All opening, through French windows, onto the terrace, where I have every meal in the summer. The house is not overlooked, but it is on the edge of my tiny village, Septfonds. Everyday swimming in my secluded walled pool and wander round the small lake looking out for signs of the wild life!
