Outside
The chateau is situated in a very quiet and secluded location and is surrounded by 4 hectares of sweeping landscaped parkland and orchards that lead onto the main courtyard. A walled lawn garden is also accessible from the kitchen and is a perfect place for outside lunch/dinner with a stunning view on the marsh. The garden also serves as a place to play badminton, volleyball and croquet, available in the Chateau The main courtyard is laid with cobblestones and leads to a 13th Century Chapel (which is not yet renovated) and a 13 C barn. Last year it was home to a nest of owls - just one of the species of birds to be found in the grounds. Within the garden are several fruit trees including apple, pear and plum which will ensure good pickings for those taking autumn breaks at the chateau. No doubt holiday makers will need to compete with the rich local bird life for the fruit. The garden also contains a mill pond fed by a stream from the River l’Elle and 2 wells (which are both secured).

It has been a real privilege to stay. From our first glimpse of the house as we came down the driveway, to going up to one wonderful room after another, our discovery of the chateau was one of amazement and sheer delight. It has been exciting to stay in a place steeped in history and at the same time pleasant to find it equipped with every modern comfort and convenience.
And outside, what beautiful views. The outbuilding, the chapel, the cobbles and above all the trees. We loved looking out of the bedroom windows. I hope we will look on these views again. The Gormley family, Dublin, Ireland.
Here again for our 3rd year. As always a fabulously relaxing holiday at Chateau Neuilly. Very lucky to have nearly 2 weeks of unbroken sunshine. The boys had great fun at Omaha beach every day. I think I will miss the lovely peace and quiet that this place provides. The Inghams and Rattigans, London.
A holiday to remember. The chateau and its surroundings were fantastic. J & S Cardiff.
