Les Volets Verts is a converted barn, which forms part of our farmhouse, it has been beautifully restored to a high standard. Light and spacious offering all the comforts of modern living, while still retaining much of the original character. The house, built in 1872, set in the heart of the Creuse, in a small hamlet, 10 minutes drive from the historic town of Aubusson, is built of the traditional granite like many in the surrounding area. The area was once famed for its artisan stonemasons, who were sought all over France for their skills. Today, you can still see many historic monuments showing their artistry. Set in its own grounds the house is surrounded by superb views of the rolling hills and rural pastures where time has stood still for many years. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset, or a stroll along country lanes and be amazed at the wild life, and varied flora that still adorn this area.
