Old village house dating from the middle ages. In a calm location between the chateau and the centre. The accommodation is all on one level with a total area of 80 sq.m. 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen, bathroom and spacious living room with table tennis table. The house is built on a slope on the side of the hill dominated by the chateau. The living room opens onto a paved courtyard which is pleasantly cool in summer. From here a winding stone staircase leads to the garden terrace with olive tree and oleanders. More steps lead up to a roof terrace with panoramic views of the chateau and the village. The village is mainly inhabited by local French people (not many second homes) and has some excellent food shops plus a supermarket on the outskirts. The village is surrounded by vineyards (good local Cote du Rhone wine) and olive groves (the chateau produces excellent olive oil). A perfect base for exploring the Camargue and towns like Arles, St Remy de Provence, Nimes and Avignon.
