The apartment is close to tourist information, art gallery, cathedral, River Herault, fishing quays, Canal du Midi and park. The River Herault with river buses, the mainline train station, shuttle buses, supermarkets, local shops and markets are nearby; as are restaurants, cafes and bars. Street markets and street theatre are available in the Summer holiday season. The sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are about 3/4 km away and walks can be had beside the river/tow-path to Canal-du-Midi.

Agde is an ancient city with over 2,500 years of history, nestling on the junction of the River Herault and the Canal-du-midi. This historic seaport is only approximately 3/4km away from the beautiful golden sandy beaches of the Mediterranean and and is a short drive to the town of Cap d'Agde, a modern resort, with 'Aqualand Water Park,' nightclubs, naturist beaches and a marina.
The Spanish border is about 90 mins drive on the autoroute. National parks, free-flowing rivers, gorges, lakes, mountains and nature reserves are all within a day trip of the area.
