Set in the La Hoguette estate, the Dairy and the Cottage are 18th c. half timbered buildings. Family furniture and portraits decorate each home, with their memories and warmth. An enticing village with a population of 90, Montpinçon nestles among the orchards and rich pastures of Pays d'Auge. Quite centrally located for sightseeing. Enjoy walks or bicycle rides in our unspoilt and quiet countryside - country churches, timber-framed manor homes, and farms where cider, pommeau, calvados can be savoured and purchased 6 miles away St-Pierre/Dives, its abbey church, its market which is held every Monday morning since the 13th c.; its garden conservatory of local breeds. Stroll in our garden; let the lounge chairs and benches tempt you. Discover the apple varieties in the orchard – is it to be eaten or to make cider with. Savour the garden, its roses, its perennials, its fragrances; the many birds singing and chirping; the fresh air scented with the smell of hay and linden trees.

Prices are for the properties per week/per night in euros.
Included for each home: heating, electricity, water and propane costs, all the house linens - duvet covers, pillowcases, fitted sheets, towels, dishtowels, vacuum, TV, basic staples and cleaning supplies. Beds are made for your arrival.
Dogs are very welcome, at no charge; the standard cleaning package will be charged: 75 euros at the Cottage, 90 euros at the Dairy.
Changeover day
Weekly rentals are from Saturday at 4pm. to the following Saturday at 10am.
For shorter stays, arrivals and departures are at 6pm.
Arrival and departure hours can be arranged between 9am. and 9pm, provided warning is given in advance.

Ground floor: the pink-tiled living area is laid out on an open plan, with a fully equipped kitchen (includes dishwasher, washing machine, 4-burner propane hotplate, refrigerator, freezer, coffee-machine, electric kettle) at one end of main floor, and a fireplace with sitting and dining area (comfortable double sofa-bed, 4 armchairs, 1 table, 2 chairs). Bathroom: shower, washbasin, WC. Open second floor: one queen size bed, one single bed, 1 chair. Electric heating. Enclosed private garden, with brick barbecue and garden furniture. |

We live on site and are on hand to help out if need be.
We provide all the house linens - duvet covers, pillow-cases, fitted sheets, towels, dish towels, tablecloth -, as well as a vacuum cleaner and TV in each home (VCR in the Cottage).
All house linens are 100% cotton, and dried by the fresh air of La Hoguette.
We make all the beds.
We provide basic staples and household cleaning supplies.
Children's cot, vacuum-cleaner and television provided in each gite.
Baby sitting service is available, upon request.
Your dogs are very welcome, and without charge. The 50 euro standard cleaning package will be charged.
A DVD-player, and mountain bikes can be rented.
Nearest shopping is 12 km away in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives or Livarot (9 km), or Trun (12 km).

Use of car is essential, unless seasoned cyclists.

La Hoguette is a 25-minute drive to Lisieux, a 45-minute drive to Caen, and a 2-hour drive to Paris.
