Our house is in the little hamlet of La Borie, just over the hill from the scenic village of Lusignac with its fortified farmhouse, ancient church and pretty restaurant. The house is set in 3 acres of grounds which include a field, orchard and small wood. The scale of the house is impressive and it has all the features you would expect in a 250 year old farmhouse plus all the modern conveniences necessary for a comfortable stay. Outside the main holiday season we use the house ourselves, so it's well equipped and the decor is an interesting mix of old and new, paintings by friends and family and objects we've collected over the years. It's an ideal location for family gatherings or reunions, as there is plenty to occupy all ages both around the house and in the wider area - wonderful markets and restaurants, historic villages, and canoeing on the river. The Bordeaux vineyards, Dordogne valley and the sea are all within striking distance.

Outside school holidays prices are dependant on numbers. Arrival and departure days may be varied out of season.
B&B may also be available out of season.
Changeover day
Saturday changeover.
Arrival time is 4pm and departure 10am.

| Bedrooms: | Bedrooms 1 and 2, on the first floor have double beds and optional single bed or cot. The other bedrooms are in the roof space. Bedroom 3 has 2 singles, bedroom 4 has 2 singles and the dormitory has 4 singles. |
| Bathrooms: | Bedrooms 1 and 2 have en suite bathrooms with bath and wc There is a third bathroom upstairs, and a toilet on the ground floor. |
| Kitchen: | Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, 2 larder fridges, freezer, dishwasher. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine and tumble dryer. |
| Living Rooms: | The farmhouse kitchen has an enormous refectory table and open fireplace. The living room has ample sofas, a day bed and desk, another lovely fireplace and enormous beams. There is a small TV for viewing videos or DVD and a portable music system. |
| Other: | There is a small room across the courtyard which generally used as a store-room. |

Bed linen and bath towels are provided on arrival The property is thoroughly cleaned between lets, and extra cleaning or changes of bed-linen can be arranged on request. |

There is a courtyard with paved dining area, raised pond. table-tennis barn, barbecue, lawn and garden. Just beyond, there is a large L-shaped pool (13m x 6.5m) with diving board and shallow section. There is a large terrace with ample sun-lounges and solar shower. The area is tastefully enclosed.
Boule and badminton equipment are provided and there is a field for games.
Coast/Beach
Ocean beaches north or south of Bordeaux are about 2 hours.
There are also several sandy beaches on the river nearby with swimming and canoeing facilities.
Golf
9 hole course 10 minutes away.
18 hole course on the edge of Perigueux, 40 minutes away.
Travel
Bergerac and Bordeaux airports are about 1.5 hours by car.
London is 12 hours drive via the tunnel.
Caen is about 5 hours drive.
Distances
Lusignac village is 1km.
Nearest shopping is at Verteillac, 5km.
Riberac market and large supermarkets are 11km.
