La Grange is a beautiful character conversion of an ancient barn some 250 years old, with original log burning fireplaces. Newly extended and upgraded this year with a new heated swimming pool 9m x 5m and central heating. Set in a truly delightful rural valley, overlooking two lakes, in deeply wooded countryside far from traffic noise with the kind of silence that is rare today. Located on the edge of Les Combes hamlet, close to the original Chateau set in 1000 acres of heavily forested farmland, steeped in birdlife and wild boar, (friendly kind), it is a walking, fishing and birdwatchers paradise. Yet only 10 mins by car to Magnac Laval, or several other quaint local market towns and delightful eating places about 2-3km away. Lac St Pardoux is about 25 mins away for beach sailing and water skiing. Limoges is 30 mins by car.

Living Rooms: Enormous beamed living room seating 14, with open fireplace, DVD, radio, TV and video player.
Other: Separate dining room with seating for 14 and log burning stove.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels provided, changed once a week. Maid once a week.

 

Notes on accommodation
Children welcome. Long term renters welcome. Pets considered. Unsuitable for elderly or infirm. Wheelchair inaccessible.

Outside there is a lovely new heated pool 9m x 5m with large stone paved terracing on the south front of the house, incorporating a stone built BBQ. There is a garage, parking, 4 bicycles, 8 garden chairs, 2 beach chairs and 4 sunloungers.

Coast/Beach
Lac St Pardoux for beach sailing and water skiing, about 25 mins away.

Travel
Limoges airport 25km. Limoges railway station 20km. Nearest motorway junction A20 at 8km. Car hire is necessary.

Distances
Magnac Laval and several other quaint local market towns and delightful eating places about 10 mins away. Lac St Pardoux about 25 mins away. Limoges 30 mins by car.

Local activities include cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, sailing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing and bird watching.

Booking notes
There is a 40% deposit payable at the time of booking with the balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival, full payment will be required. A fully refundable deposit of £200 is also required to cover any breakages or damage.
