About the owner
Hello, I'm Lyn Niven. Thanks for showing an interest in our beautiful home in Monsegur. My husband Eric and I would love to share with you some of our knowledge of this wonderful part of France. Our favourite things include walking, visiting historic towns and villages, browsing local markets, enjoying some of the many wines and speciality foods of this area. We both enjoy cooking and often have BBQ's and lengthy lunches, (French style of course) with our friends and neighbours. We love the sea, and to have everything so close to us is wonderful, we're truly spoilt for choice.

Year purchased: 2003

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We first visited Monsegur in 2000, having visited many parts of Italy and France for holidays. At first we didn't really know why we loved this area so much, we just couldn't stop coming back. It has the charm and charisma of St. Emillion, stunning coastline with the Atlantic Ocean and the Bassin d'Arcachon, the drama of cliffs and rivers in the Dordogne, the stunning architecture of chateaux and all on the doorstep. Above all it's so peaceful, the perfect place to relax. We decided to buy a house here, but couldn't find anything that met our demanding standards. Eventually we bought some land and had our 'dream' home built for us in this truly wonderful part of France, the 'Entre de Mer'.

Unique benefits of the property
We selected our land carefully, on the edge of the friendly and very French historic 'bastide' town of Monsegur, with it's shops, restaurants and wonderful markets. It's just a short level walk into town, yet we're on the edge of beautiful countryside. At La Maison Pierre you will enjoy every modern comfort in a uniquely bright and spacious house, not a holiday house but our luxuriously furnished and equipped home. A perfect base for visiting the area, or simply sitting down with a good book, a refreshing glass of wine and some simple but exquisite food. What could be better?
