The house and gardens are in excellent condition throughout and have been recently completely refurbished. Villa Mes Nuits Blanches was constructed in the local style about 40 years ago for a local baker and his family (hence the name) and is approximately 5 minutes drive from the centre of the town in a semi rural area with lovely views of the old town and the surrounding hills. The house had been built with a separate apartment on the ground floor which now has been integrated into the villa by internal and external staircases and makes it very suitable for two families as there are two fully fitted kitchens, one up and one down. UK SKY television upstairs and downstairs. All premium Sky channels available upstairs on SKY+ and All Sky Freeview channels in the downstairs apartment. Wireless Broadband internet access available free of charge.

The downstairs apartment is suitable for wheelchair access.
Outside
Swimming Pool:
The large swimming pool measures 14m x7m and is 1m deep at the shallow end. It is fitted with an automatic cleaner and electronic ioniser which is much gentler on the skin than chlorine. It is maintained weekly by our gardener. There are 8 teak sun loungers and several large parasols for use by the pool.
Terrace:
The south-facing terrace has a teak table and chairs to seat 10 under a covered awning and a large barbecue.
Gardens:
The well-established gardens of approximately 3/4 acre have many olive trees and fruit trees including lemon, orange, grapefruit, fig, apple and pear and there are many shaded areas in which to relax. There is also a boule court.

Coast/Beach
Situated in the hills above Nice, about 20 minutes from the airport. Vence is a centre of the flower growing industry, with small flower markets held several times a week in the charming square. The pedestrianised old town is a maze of narrow streets with many artisan shops, bars, cafes & restaurants. The beaches of Nice & Cannes are within easy reach as are the hill top villages of St Paul de Vence & Tourettes, with many art galleries and museums associated with the artists of Provence.
Travel
20 minutes from Nice Airport. Car hire recommended.
Distances
Centre of Vence, Cite Historique, 5 mins by car. St Paul de Vence 10 mins by car. Nice - Promenade D'Anglais 25 minutes, Antibes 40 minutes, Monaco 50 minutes. Cannes 50 minutes, St Tropex 1 hour.
Further details
There are three supermarkets in Vence and a local Boulangerie. There are many restaurants in and around Vence.
Booking notes
We ask for a £500 refundable security bond to cover any accidental damage or breakages etc. This is refunded after the holiday.

About the owner
The property is owned by Phil and Claire Chesworth. We live in the West Midlands, England with our two adult children. Both of us work although we are finding it harder to return to the UK each time we visit our villa.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Year purchased: 2005. We have had many holidays in the area before deciding Vence was that special place where we wanted to buy somewhere. We chose the area because of its central location on the French Riviera - 50 minutes East to the Italian border and 50 minutes West to St Tropez plus everything in between to explore or even inland into Provence. There are may great marina's beaches, cafe bars and restaurants in the area. Plus Nice airport is so convenient, being only a 20 minutes drive away.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is three to four minutes drive from the centre of the old historic town on Vence with its pretty, narrow streets and some fabulous restaurants. So with our location you can be sight seeing and enjoying the bustling town or relaxing around the pool in perfect tranquility. The large private pool is 14x7m and is not over looked. There are parasols, loungers, and pool towels provided.
