Changeover day
Prices are per week for Saturday to Saturday, arriving after 4pm and departing 10 am on the final day.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with queen bed. Juliette balcony overlooking back garden. Bedroom 2 with 2 oversize single sleigh beds. Both bedrooms on the second floor. |
| Bathrooms: | The bathroom is on the second floor. It has a large bath with a substantial overhead shower. There is a toilet and washbasin (there is a second toilet down stairs) all in top condition. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is new and has all modern conveniences. There is a 5 ring / oven stove, a fridge and double sink. There is a large selection of pots and pans (Le Creuset), cutlery, glassware etc. Dining is done in the kitchen. The table has seating for 6. |
| Utility Room: | In a room off the kitchen there is a dishwashing machine and clothes washing machine. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room has a large sofa and 2 easy chairs (all are new). The focus of this cosy room is the large open fire which is easy to light and draws well. For your entertainment there is satellite TV (BBC), a DVD player and CD/Mini Disc/FM radio system. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All towels and linen are supplied, and are changed weekly. The property is cleaned during each changeover day. |
Notes on accommodation
The house is a good sized, 3 storey, fully renovated village house. A terrace opens into a huge garden with swimming pool. The house is great all year round. Cool in summer with its ancient stone walls and window shutters. Warm in winter with oil central heating and large open fire.
Accessibility
This property is unlikely to be suitable for wheelchair users as the bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor.
Outside
The garden is reached via a sun drenched terrace with table and chairs. The garden is large with numerous mature trees providing shade in the summer. Many of the trees bear fruit and nuts in season. In the garden is a small solid fuel barbecue (there is wood at hand). Starting 2008, there will be a brand new 10x5 metre swimming pool. The pool is the latest salt technology so there is hardly any chlorine (BIG NEWS). The pool is black with wood border to discreetly fit in with the natural surroundings. In addition there is a 1 switch electric pool safety cover which complies with the stringent French pool safety rules.
Further details
Villefranche du Perigord is a medieval, historic, Bastide village. It has a wealth of shops including 2 bakeries, 2 butchers and 3 foodstores. There is hardware, English newspapers and, in season, 3 restaurants/bars. All within 5 minutes stroll. The village has tennis courts, a boule court and a pool. The village dates back to the 13th century and has many interesting features. The region is dotted with towns and villages. Particularily well known are Monpazier, Dome, Sarlat, Bergerac and Cahor. There is a strong culture of wine and cuisine reflected in many restaurants and fabulous markets. Locally there are many summer festivals.
The village has a large swimming pool which is open throughout the summer season.

Prices are per week for Saturday to Saturday, arriving after 4pm and departing 10 am on the final day.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the rental is required at time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeeks prior to arrival.
Summer prices include bed linen, bath towels, and all utilities (gas, water, electricity) and taxes plus end cleaning. Winter season costs are subject to surcharges for electricity, oil, wood (these are normally negligable).
