This village house is situated in a hamlet between Orange and Bollene on the Route des Vins. From the heart of the village enter into this lovely terraced home, complete with beams and family antiques, which has been created from a clever combination of a typical Provencale house and converted barn. This now provides accommodation for upto nine people. Its sprawling layout - two staircases to seperate parts of the house - makes it ideal for three generation parties. The large but cosy salon is attractively furnished and leads onto a private and picturesque courtyard with table and chairs, surrounded by terracotta pots. The convivial dining room opens off a fully equipped kitchen. Two minutes stroll from the house and you are by the pool. The Pool House, surrounded by lawns and shady trees is almost a second home, providing: kitchen with built-in BBQ, hob, oven, fridge and double sink. It also includes dining-sitting area, shower room, cloakroom with wash basin and separate wc.

The house can sleep up to 9 people. The exact number needs to be notified on booking as the rental price will be reduced for fewer people.

Notes on accommodation
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are located on the first floor.
Bedrooms 3 and 4 are located on the first floor of the original house.
bedroom 5 is located on the second floor. It has a window overlooking the village church. The old beams and some of the old stonework has been retained.
Bedrooms are reached by two staircases leading respectively to: One double and one twin and one double and one single. An open tread staircase leads to the final large double bedroom.
Cots can be provided. Full baby equipment on request.
Outside
Stretching out from the lovely poolhouse is the 11m x 5m pool with attractive Roman style steps at one end. It is tiled and has underwater lighting at night. The pool conforms to AFNOR regulations with a fenced surround.
There are a full set of layout chairs.
Please feel free to pick fruit from the fruit trees.
There is ample parking outside the poolhouse including a double garage.

On offer locally are painting, pottery, sophrologie, wine and cookery courses - all conducted in French!

By Car: Leave the A7 motorway at Bollene and the house is 10 minutes away or at Orange and the house is 15 minutes away.

Uchaux is perfectly positioned on the 'Route des Vins' to explore the many surrounding villages together with the Ardeche river (20 minutes away) Avignon (45 minutes away) Vaison la Romaine (30 minutes away) Aix en Provence (1 hour away) le Luberon (1 hour away) and the coast (1 hour 15 minutes away). You might like to wind your way to the villages of Seguret and Grignan with their narrow streets and picturesque shaded cool squares.
All guests will have temporary membership of the Tennis Club, 3 km away, where there are two tennis courts.
Available to guests are a set of boules, a table tennis table, books, toys and games, plus two old bikes.
Three restaurants are within walking distance and a further four within 3km.
Babysitting and taxi services are available locally.

A deposit of 50% is payable on booking in Euros or GBP by bank transfer. (non-refundable unless we can re-let, less a small administrative fee) The balance payable as above, 6 weeks before commencement of your holiday.
