Most of our properties have ground floor bedrooms & bathrooms so would be suitable for people who have limited mobility and/or difficulty with stairs

Shared laundry room, free of charge including all laundry products. Office with free internet broadband connection. Free wi-fi access is available in all the cottages and in the grounds.
Private 9 hole pitch and putt golf course exclusively for Les Crouquets' guests - also free of charge as well as table tennis, badminton , basketball net & boules pitch. Animal enclosures with donkey, sheep, goats & hens.
Coast/Beach
30 mins from Tamnies , a man made lake with beach. Supervised swimming, pedal boats picnic areas etc.
Golf
18 hole golf courses at Souillac (22km) and Sarlat (25km).

Travel
Nearest airport near Brive ( ~12 miles) Also Bergerac (~65 miles) & Bordeaux (~125 miles). Between 6 and 8 hours drive from all ferry ports. Use of car essential.

1 km to Jayac.
8 km to Salignac (all amenities), Jardins d'Eyrignac.
15 km to Terrasson - Jardins d'Imaginaires, River Vezere.
21 km to Montignac - Grottes de Lascaux, prehistoric caves.
25 km to Sarlat -la- Caneda - medieval town with most listed buildings per square mile in all of Europe.

About the owner
Amar and I met way back in 1980 at university in Edinburgh. He went on to work in education and I went down the path of retail management. 15 years on we decided to work for ourselves and we left city life to build up a small hotel and restaurant in the Scottish Borders. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute (well, most of them anyway!) but 10 years, much renovation, 4 stars, several awards and 2 children later we knew we needed to move on. And so we set up home at Les Crouquets. Exactly how we came to arrive in this wonderful corner of rural France after spending a whole year searching, is another story altogether! Suffice to say that for us living here is a breath of fresh air - we are truly at home and we're sure you will be too. We look forward to sharing it with you soon!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The area is perfect for that "get away from it all" holiday yet still offers lots to do - more than can be done in a 2 week break. Here you can easily forget the stresses and strains of everyday life. There are several airports within a 2 hour drive and a new airport has now opened in Brive - just 20 minutes from here. With good motorway access, driving is easy too. In spite of the easy access to everything, Les Crouquets is still very much "far from the madding crowd" and also offers a relaxing base to come home to.

Our salt water heated pool, 9 hole pitch and putt course ,spacious 65 m2 games room and outdoor facilities with lots for all the family means that on days when you don't want to travel far everyone can still be kept occupied. Susie, the donkey, loves attention and is a great country attraction for all ages! A 24 hr laundry room with all the laundry products supplied free of charge makes the holiday washing easy! Free 24 hr wi-fi and internet access means you can still keep in touch with the outside world if you need to!
