Located near the south beach at St Cyprien, this Swiss-built apartment, which was opened in July 2004, is located in the gated development known as Les Reflets. Close to all amenities, this apartment boasts stunning views of the Alberes Mountains from the south facing main balcony. An attractive feature of the apartment is the cathedral style ceiling in all rooms which adds to the sense of light and space. Accommodation: 1 double, 1 twin bedroom. Main bathroom with bath/shower and fitted with an automatic washing machine. Separate shower room with WC in both. Kitchen with dishwasher. Large living room with TV, DVD and CD/radio/MP3 player. Large entrance/hall way. Air conditioning throughout which doubles as heating units during cold spells.

Changeover day is Saturday but we will try to accommodate people as much as possible.

Hot water available all day long from solar panels located in the roof of the building.
Kitchen: Full size 4 ring ceramic hob, full size oven with grill, coffee maker, full size fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, worktop surface and breakfast bar.
Living Rooms: Large lounge/dining area, full size double sofa bed and settee which converts to a single bed (additional single bed stored underneath), dining table (can seat 8), 21" TV, DVD player and radio/CD/MP3 player. Dual air-conditioning/heating unit.
Other: Double wardrobe and storage in hall/entrance. Hot water all day included in the charge. Patio furniture/sitting for 8 and parasol.

Bed linen and tea towels are included in the rental price but you will need to bring your own towels. Apartment cleaned (no charge) before occupancy. If you require cleaning or a change of bedlinen during your stay this can be arranged for a fee.

Accessibility
Wheelchair access to the ground floor apartments in the building is provided for. However access to this apartment which is on the first floor is unfortunately by stairs only.

Outside
2 patios: main patio is south facing and is accessed off the lounge/dining room. Patio furniture includes parasol to sit 8, 2nd patio is accessed from the double bedroom and overlooks locally sports fieds. Swimming pool (heated) is reserved for apartment owners/guests only -access by key only. One parking space reserved for apartment F6. Other parking available on site.

Coast/Beach
10 mins walk (at a leisurely pace) to a wide safe sandy beach.

Golf
St Cyprien has a championship golf course which has been used by the European Tour for the early stages of its qualifying school for touring pros. In addition to the 18 hole championship course there is also a 9 hole course, driving range and short game practice areas. The golf course is located near the North beach on the far side of St Cyprien port and takes about 10-15 mins to reach by car. Within a maximum of an hour and quarter away in Spain is a selection of courses including the Golf de Catalunya near Gerona where the 2009 Spanish Open was played.

Travel
Driving from channel ports would probable take 10 -12 hours. Nearest airport is Perpignan (about 35 mins drive). Ryanair fly there from Stansted. Alternatives are Carcassone (about 120 mins drive) or Gerona in Northern Spain (75 mins drive). Our preference would be Gerona, because of the frequency of flights by Ryanair from various locations in the UK and Ireland. Car hire can also be a little cheaper in Spain with no extra charges as long as you are returning the car to the same location.

Elne 15 mins drive. Perpignan 30 mins. Coullioure medieval port 15 mins. Carcassone 120 mins. Gerona 75 mins. Barcelona 140 mins. Ski slopes - 90 mins. Villlefranche walled town 70 mins, Andorra about 2 hours.

Further details
The nearby commercial centre at Les Capallans is about a ten minute walk away along a tree lined avenue. It has 2 restaurants, a tapas bar, a small Casino supermarket, a patisserie for fresh bread and pastries, two pizza venders, hairdresser/beautician, a small cafe with WiFi available, a fruit/vegetable shop, a newsagent/gift store where you can get english language newspapers and hire bikes, a butchers shop and, just in case, a doctor's surgery. A little further on is St Cyprien port which has a wide selection of restaurants and bars In the port area a lot of free outdoor entertainment happens during July and August; there is also a night time market. Activities available locally include scuba diving, sailing, and other forms of boating (some require permits), jet skis can be hired on the beach, horse riding, karting and of course walking. A large fairground in nearby Argeles and a smaller one in St Cyprien port operate during peak season. A Waterpark (Aqualand) is adjacent to the complex. Snorkling is cheap and great fun. Large bolders used to protect the beach from coastal erosion are great for attracting all kinds of small fish. If you want a little more variety (and deeper water) the coves in Coullioure are even better.
At the back of the apartment complex you can see soccer pitches which are used during the summer for soccer camps etc. This is part of the Grand Stad which is the local community sports complex. Behind the soccer pitches (out of sight behind trees) is the main Stad complext which has four squash courts, 4 indoor tennis courts, 13 outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor pool and a large fully equipped gym. You can use the gym for €8 per hour and can hire the tennis courts (and racquets etc). Staff are very helpful. Beside the Grand Stad is another very good Italian fodd restaurant (highly recommended).

Booking notes
150 euros booking deposit to secure the dates. Full balance of the rent for the period will be due 4 weeks before the beginning of the holiday period plus a damages deposit of 150 euros. Payment by cheque or bank draft please. We will send on keys and directions at that stage. \The damages deposit will be returned within 10 days of the keys being returned subject to there being no damage reported by our representative in St Cyprien.
