Notes on accommodation
A galleried lounge area provides a comfortable seating/reading space and has satellite TV. Unfortunately we feel that the property is unsuitable for children under 10 years old and we cannot accommodate pets. Hairdryers, towels, pool robes and pool towels are provided.
Outside
The swimming pool is 12x6m and has sun loungers, tables and chairs for the use of guests and has breathtaking views of the valley. Our guests are always struck by the beauty and tranquillity of the setting. Our orchard has cherries, peaches, figs, apples and plums and backs directly onto the forest with access for walkers.
Coast/Beach
St Saud - A pretty village with a beautiful lake just to the north.
Travel
Thiviers - The hub of the community, a busy little market town famous for it's winter fairs. The Saturday market sells anything from foie gras, trout and truffles to strawberries, apples and walnuts that are all locally produced.
Distances
The popular tourist town of Brantôme and the village of St Jean de Cole are a few minutes away and bicycle hire is available. So whether you fancy some sight seeing, walking, cycling or just a few days relaxing by the pool we will make your stay a pleasure.
Further details
St Martin de Fressengeas - Our local village perched high on top of a hill. Good views of the area and has a fine Romanesque church.
Grotte de Villars - A network of caves with impressive stalactites, stalagmites and calcite flows, together with prehistoric cave paintings.

Dear Craig and Beryl. At last, we've finally got round to emailing you as it's taken a few days to catch up with bits and bobs. Both of us have been reminiscing about our stay with you; a lovely home, area, hospitality and of course, Beryl's cooking. We managed to get some Confit du Canard and some Grenache in Thiviers and will try these out on the family soon - can't wait. We aim to visit France again next year and do hope to see you again.
