Situated on the outskirts of Chamonix the apartment can be found in a traditional alpine chalet on the 3rd floor with breathtaking views from the balcony of Mont Blanc and down the valley to Les Houches ski resort. With two good size bedrooms both with tv/dvd player and a cosy mezzanine. Fully fitted kitchen with all appliances and lounge with tv/dvd, sky and ipod docking station. Cave provided with boot warmer and washing/tumble dryer.

Notes on accommodation
The flat could suit any age group, either wanting a family holiday, a group of friends, or couples. We have two children who love sleeping in the mezzanine but it is not ideal for everyone as there are steep steps into it.
Summer or winter this apartment works, close to all 5 ski resorts that are situated within Chamonix and an easy walk to the train station just down the road. Close to the Les Gaillands climbing wall and a short drive down to Passey to swim in the lake with it's amazing backdrop. There are steep stairs to get into the apartment so don't bring a large suitcase!!

We have a south facing balcony with table and chairs.
Skiing
5 mins by car to Les Houches with tree lined blues and reds.
5 mins by car to Brevant with sunny blues, reds and blacks.
10 mins to Flegere linked to Brevant.
15 mins to Argentiere/Grand Montets for the hardened skier with fab off piste and endless skiing.
20 mins by car Le Tour with wide gentle blues and reds.
Various nursery slopes can be found at each resort area and in Chamonix town itself.
Travel
1 hour by motorway from Geneva airport, car hire recemmended when flying (make sure you hire from Swiss side as it is easier to get out of the airport.
Transfers cost about 45 euros per person.
If you drive it can take approx 7 hours from Calais depending on your speed!

Further details
To regular visitors it is often a shock to discover that Chamonix's true high season is summer, that does not take away the great skiing to be had in this resort. Fab bars, clubs and restaurants can be found in the valley with a town offering you all facilities.
