Vieuresque is a typical Tarnaise farmhouse, set on a hillside overlooking a river valley that has hardly changed in two hundred years. Over the last few years, a part of the building has been restored with much care for detail. The rooms are airy and full of light, with works of art on the walls, giving a personal and decorative atmosphere. The land around the house and the pool allows space for children to safely play (we are well away from any public road) and roam and for adults to relax, chat, sunbathe or merely ‘take in the warmth of the day’. If it’s peace, tranquillity and taste of genuine rural France you’re looking for then Vieuresque has all this.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the whole property per week in Euros.
In mid and low seasons, the gite is open to small groups and for shorter stays. The nightly rate is 14 euros per person, per night. Meals with local products are available. Contact the owner for more details.
Changeover day
Saturday: From 5pm on arrival to 10am on departure.

| Bedrooms: | 5 bedrooms each with a washbasin: 12 beds according to the size of the bedrooms (1 large room with 4 beds, 1 large room with 3 beds, 2 rooms with 2 beds and 1 small room with 1 bed). Double beds replace singles for couples. We also cater for a baby. |
| Bathrooms: | 1 bathroom, 1 shower room and 2 separate toilets. |
| Kitchen: | Fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, microwave, gas hob, fridge, freezer, double sink, dishwasher, washing machine and electrical appliances. |
| Living Rooms: | Within one spacious room (50 m2) including the kitchen, a living room with a large sofa, armchairs, a piano, TV (sky), DVD, hi-fi, books and games and a dining room with large table. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The rent includes all bedding (duvets and pillows with linen), drying-up and hand towels and central heating. The rent does not include personal bath and swimming towels. |

Outside
A beautiful deck terrace (50 m2) outside the kitchen leads onto a large private garden with garden furniture and barbecue.
The pool (5 x 10 m) is equipped with an alarm for the protection of children under 5. Its’ location is secluded, with a superb view down the valley. It has a ample terrace with sun loungers and a sheltered area. The pool is shared with the owners and is almost exclusively for the guests use.

30 minutes drive to the beautiful 18 hole "Lasbordes" golf course in Albi (www.golfalbi.com).
Travel
By car: The A20 motorway from Paris with exit at Caussades (40 km).
By train: Gaillac (20 km) with connections from Toulouse.
By air: Toulouse (90 km or ±1h/car) with British Airways, Easy Jet, Aer Lingus, SN Airlines…
Rodez and Carcassonne (± 1h30/car) with Ryanair.
The use of a car is essential.

Further details
Vieuresque is outside the village of Campagnac, on the edge of the ancient Gaillac vineyards (it was Henry VIII’s favourite wine) near Albi (Cathedral, Toulouse Lautrec Museum…) and the fortified hill towns “bastides” such as Cordes-sur-Ciel, Castelnau de Montmiral. Nearby are the stunning gorges and sheer rock faces of the river Aveyron. There you will find the picturesque town of St Antonin-Noble-Val with its bustling street cafés, beautiful buildings and Sunday market selling fresh organic local produce. We are also about an hour’s drive from Toulouse.
The region is full of things to do, such as canoeing, kayaking, walking, biking, horse-riding, rock-climbing, tennis, walking-in-the-trees, fishing… or simply sweet idleness, reading a book in a hammock by the swimming pool.
In summer, there is a wide range of festivals, village festivities, concerts and local events. Shopping facilities, local markets, visits to wine producers, fine restaurants and cafés are all within a few kilometres.
The Spring and autumn are ideal for walking and exploring the area as the weather is milder. The countryside is very varied within twenty miles and the paths are well signposted (we have maps and guides for the use of guests in the gîte). For those who love looking for mushrooms, there are many varieties when in season. November is also a great time to visit when the vineyards bring out their “Vin Nouveau” with wine tasting and lots of celebrations for the new harvest.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance + 300 euros (or £ 200) damage deposit is payable 8 weeks before the beginning of the rental period. In July and August, only 2 week rentals are accepted.

Tracey and I had a fantastic, relaxing time in France. We loved your home and were delighted to stay there. Communing with you 2 artists and meeting your friend Claude were both great creative "shots inthe arm" for me. I have not yet finished the landscape painting- so busy with home remodeling in anticipation for the baby. But I look at it constantly (it sits on the mantlepiece) and I am reminded of so many good moments of our holiday there. You are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful place. If you ever venture to the Pacific NW of the U.S. we'd be delighted to show you around.
