Visit medieval Josselin town and tour the magnificent chateau and gardens, hire a motor boat on the canal and stop for a picnic lunch. Experience the many restaurants and bars. Buy wonderful local fresh produce from the weekly market and enjoy cooking a tasty meal. Take a trip to the many beaches along the coastline. Lots of 'tourist bits' to do! Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday (Flexible out of season). Arrival time must be after 4pm. Departure time 10am to enable us time to prepare the property for the next occupants. End of stay cleaning option-50 euros, if you would prefer not to do it yourself.

Notes on accommodation
Each property renovated to a high standard with exposed beams & character. Bed linen, gite towels, electric, gas and water included in the rental price. Electric Heating (during winter months) included. Each gite has a wood burning stove and comes with a supply of logs, further logs can be purchased for a nominal amount thereafter (Winter lets). Jacuzzi/hot tub/pool usage included in the rental. Please bring your own outdoor towels. Or, if preferred, outdoor towels can be hired from us at a charge of 5 euros. Hot tub/Jacuzzis open May-Sept as standard but maybe requested out of these times for an additional charge of £30 per week.
If you prefer not to have to tidy before your departure, an 'End of stay clean' can be arranged for a charge of 50 euros. Flexible arrival/departure days for 5 day breaks and off season breaks. Open all year.
Accessibility
Suited to all apart from persons with resticted mobility. Gite Alouette not suited to very young children/babies.
Outside
Gites Alouette, Martinet and Papillon each have their own Hot Tub set into a decked area in the gardens. There is a shared 8x4.5m pool (open June-August) on site. A Boules court is also provided for all gites to use. Each gite has its own garden, barbecue and outdoor sitting/dining area. Ample parking. Extensive views. Good walking/cycling area. Woodland close by. Local wildlife.
Coast/Beach
Driving distance to the numerous beaches along the Morbihan coastline 40-50 mins. Beach/swimming area at 'Lac au Duc', Ploermel 20 mins drive. Hire a pedalo. Childrens play area. Fishing.
Golf
Ploermel, 9 hole lakeside course, practice area and putting area - 20 mins drive from properties. Various other 18 hole inland or coastal courses within an hours drive.
Special interest holidays
Summer music evenings during July/August (free entry) in Josselin. August - local village craft fayre. August - horse race meeting in Josselin. Nov - Huge boat show within 1 hrs drive.
Travel
Airports Dinard, Lorient, Rennes and Nantes are the nearest, max 2 hrs drive. Ferry Ports - St Malo is the nearest, (approx 1.5 hrs drive). Alternatively, Caen, Cherbourg, Roscoff are all accessable and within 4 hrs drive. Calais and Boulogne are 6-7 hrs drive.
Distances
The gites are 1.5km from the village of Guegon with everything supplied for your daily needs including a well stocked general store! Smell those fresh croissants from the Boulangerie! 5km from the medieval town of Josselin with its fairytale chateau situated on the Nantes/Brest canal.

Guegon provides: Boulangerie for those daily fresh and those warm croissants! Pharmacy, Florist, Bars, General store, Post Office a Restaurant and Pizzeria. Josselin provides: shops, bars, restaurants post office, boulangeries, pharmacies, florists, banks, cinema, tourist info office, weekly general market. Supermarkets/petrol stations are on the edge of Josselin. Tourist leaflets are provided in each of the properties. Visit the wartime Resistance Museum, zoo park, motor museum, doll museum, aquarium, horse riding stables. Hire a day boat on the canal. Visit the many local Chateaux and Historical buildings. Hire canoes or bikes. go fishing, golfing, bowling, quad biking or go-carting, to name just a few activities offered! Alternatively, why not just relax and unwind and enjoy the Hot Tubs, pool, accommodation and surroundings!
