Located in the picturesque medieval village of St Thibery on the banks of the river La Thongue, the house is a large Maison de Maitre, built in 1850 where at one time wine was produced and stored. We have a beautiful courtyard in the heart of the house which provides a place for relaxing.

The Loft - can comfortably sleep up to 4 people, it is a large, light and airy space complete with fitted kitchen which includes a gas stainless steel hob, an electric oven and fridge. All the small electrical kitchen essentials are included such as kettle, coffee machine etc. Within the space a sofa allows you to relax in front of the TV/DVD player or gaze out over the roof tops and countryside. At the other end is a bedroom area complete with ensuite shower and WC.

The 4 person Apartment - An adaptable space consisting of 3 rooms and a bath room painted entirely in white to enhance the Provençale artwork, posters and collection of mirrors - maybe a little touch of Van Gogh here and there!
The first room you enter is the kitchen/diner fully equipped for holiday cooking. To the left is a large airy bedroom (double bed) with shower room en-suite consisting of walk-in shower, wash basin vanity unit, and wc.
On the left is another bedroom (twin beds) with showeroom en-suite consisting of walk-in shower, washbasin vanity unit, and wc; making the apartment suitable for a family of four. If there are only two of you then enjoy the spacious luxury of having this room as your sitting room for relaxing on the sofa with a good book or just watching a favourite DVD. Books available from our small library on the landing.
The Apartment being situated on the front of the house has the typical little balconies opening from the French windows of every room.

The Studio - a unique space of 45 square metres ideally suited for a couple on holiday, or even longer term.
Bright and sunny - with its south west facing window bringing in the sun from morn til dusk. With its original 'pavé' floor tiles and rough-hewn white-washed walls yet with all the comforts of modern loft living.
A streamline fitted kitchen flanks the wall immediately inside the door which includes a gas stainless steel hob, an electric oven and a large fridge-freezer. All the small electrical kitchen essentials are included such as kettle, coffee machine etc...
Further within the space a sofa allows you to relax in front of the TV/DVD player.
At the other end the large double bed overlooks the window with its lovely view across the roof-tops towards the church spire of the next village.
Opening directly from here is the Gaudi inspired bathroom which has 2 washbasins, a shower and the totally Gaudiesque mosaic tiled toilet enclosure.

The Blue room: has the benefit of a Queen size double bed, its own en-suite bathroom with bath-tub (and shower over) and a separate toilet. Enjoy a cool long drink on the balcony - directly thro' your own French windows.

The Copper room: a very contemporary room fitted out with hand-made copper objects - artistic yet functional. The colour scheme is reminiscent of a Tuscan villa with it's rich warm terracotta tones. The black iron standard size double bed echoes the classic black marble fireplace. The Copper Room is at the front of the house over-looking the typical village avenue of tall plane trees. It has its own shower room and WC.

The Green room: the colour of a summer meadow, the Green room has twin beds. With an original white marble fireplace an antique and modern mix has been created including the original piece that the washbasin has been set into. Step thro' the windows onto the balcony to enjoy breakfast in the sun or read a book.

 

Notes on accommodation
The house is a large Maison de Maitre, built in 1850 where at one time wine was produced and stored. This wonderful property has been tastefully renovated to provide ensuite facilities to all rooms, whilst still retaining many of the original features and character of a traditional village Maison de Maitre.

Outside
We have a beautiful courtyard in the heart of the house which provides a place for relaxing, where you can enjoy the use of the pool, garden chairs and tables, and a gas barbecue.

Coast/Beach
Visit the golden beaches of the Mediterranean, just 15 minutes away by car.

Travel
By Road: 3K from exit 34 on the A9 Autoroute or take the D13 from Pezenas.
By Rail: TGV from Lille or Paris to Beziers or Agde.
By Air: International airports at Montpellier (35 mins); Nimes (50 mins); Carcassone (80 mins) and Perpignan (90 mins).
Use of a car is recommended, although you can get around by buses and trains.

Distances
Large shops and the renowned open air Saturday market can be found at nearby Pezenas, a town noted for it's Moliére Theatre, art galleries and many cultural festivals throughout the year. Saint Thibéry is less than 20 minutes drive from bustling Bèziers with its famous Friday flower market, boutiques, bars, restaurants and theatre. 40 minutes in the opposite direction is Montpellier, offering all the excitement of a thriving metropolis.

Further details
Montpellier the fastest growing city in France with its magnificent architecture and parks is only 30 minutes drive.
Carcassonne, the most complete Medieaval 'city' in Europe, the magnificent Roman arena of Nimes, Van Gogh's Arles, Avignon's famed bridge and Pope's Palace are but a few of the amazing sites waiting to be discovered.
