Converted haybarn attached to our house, set in 5 acres of garden and protected woodland of sweet chestnut and oak. In a tranquil setting where you can relax on your own terrace overlooking the pool, which is shared only with the resident owners. Located in the Bourian midway between the Dordogne and Lot river valleys. In beautiful countryside and 5km from 3 villages all with a bar, shop and restaurant. Spring and autumn are ideal times to enjoy an area rich in wildlife, birds and flowers. The walking and cycling are wonderful, borrow our bikes or browse our books on local walks. The area boasts many ancient and picturesque towns and villages including Rocamadour, St Cirq-Lapopie and Cahors all within easy drive. Our local town Gourdon, is a lively and attractive medieval town with many cafes and bars and a regular thriving market.

Out of high season we are happy to be flexible if it fits in with other bookings.

Travel
Bergerac nearest airport (100km), but Rodez, Toulouse and Limoges are all within 2 hours drive. 8 hour drive from Boulogne/Calais ferry ports. Use of a car is recommended to enable you to make the most of your stay.
Distances
3 villages (Degagnac, Concores and Lavacantiere) are within 5km of the cottage, all with a shop, restaurant and bar.
Gourdon is 15km, Cahors 30km. Rocamadour, St-Cirq-Lapopie, Domme, Gouffre de Padirac are all within easy reach.

The cottage is located within walking/cycling distance of Landes du Frau, a forest area with 2 lakes and lovely walks.
A lake beach at Catus is 14km approximately.

1/3rd deposit is due at time of booking. Balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. In the event of cancellation, monies paid are refundable only if an alternative booking is secured.
