In a 1 hectare private garden, the 2 cottages and the 10x5m private pool have a prime position for stunning views over the rolling hills, and amazing sunsets! Set in the heart of the renowned Dordogne, you will be at a short ride from all the medieval castles of the Dordogne Valley, the world famous prehistorical caves of Les Eyzies and Lascaux, as well as, of course, the wine region of Bordeaux of which the first vineyards start 30 mns away from the cottages!

Prices are for the property per week. Revisable for long winter lets and there are discounts for large groups on a 2 weeks basis or more. Please, do not hesitate to contact us. Prices are per cottage.
Changeover day
The arrivals in the cottages will be planned from 4pm onwards on Saturdays, while the departure should be no later than 10am on Saturdays. All of it for cleaning purposes. Thank you for your understanding.

La Perigourdine (4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8)

This typical Dordogne cottage will dazzle you with its flat tiled 4.50 meters high roof! Upstairs are 1 double bedroom, and 2 rooms with bankbeds, all with exposed beams and very high ceilings. The fourth bedroom, a double, is an en-suite seperate studio situated just 4 meters away from the house!This studio as well as being a bedroom also has a little lounge area with sofa, coffee table, a TV and DVD player, should the parents wish to spend a little time on their own. We like to call it the Pigeon house. All together with the Pigeon house, there are three toilets and three bathrooms, with large showers, and a bath. The kitchen, separate from the dinning room (which sits 8 and has a log fire), is fully equipped, from a large fridge freezer, to the wide professional cooker, microwave, dishwasher, while the washing machine and dryer are in a laundry room. The lounge, furnished with confortable sofas and armchairs is fully equipped with TV (english sat.TV), DVD player and Hifi system. |

Notes on accommodation
All rooms are fitted with electrical heaters, as well as wood burners in the lounges and a stunning fire-place in the Perigourdine dining room.
Fans are available for the summer.
For the comfort of all subsequent guests, smoking is not allowed, and pets are not welcomed on the property, thank you for your understanding.
Outside
The cottages are set on a one hectare garden, filled with magnificent mature trees, and a wide range of all sorts of fruit trees, of which you are more than welcome to help yourself and enjoy! Each cottages has its own exclusive terrasse, a barbecue, with garden tables, chairs and large umbrellas for outside lunches.
Our 10x5m swimming pool, thanks to its salt system will be gentle on your skin and eyes. Sun loungers and umbrellas are surrounding the pool, from which you will admire some of the most beautiful sunsets!
Coast/Beach
In just over 2 hours drive, you can reach the Atlantic Coast, climb on the highest dune in Europe, La Dune de Pyla (117 meters high), and enjoy the fresh oysters of La Baie d'Arcachon.
Golf
The Mortemart 9 hole golf course is 5 minutes drive away from the cottages.
Travel
Bergerac airport, only 30mns drive away is the closest. Direct low cost flights from Stansted and other destinations (Flybe, Ryanair).
Bordeaux, 2 hours drive away, has direct flights from Gatwick, Manchester and more.
Car is essential, and car hire places are found in all of the above airports.
Should you come with your own car, the 6 hours drive from all the Channel Ferry terminals is easy and pleasant thanks to the well built fast motorway system.
Distances
The stunning medieval town of Sarlat (in which many movies were shot) is just over 30mns drive.
The prehistorical caves of Les Eyzies are just over 20mns drive.
The beautiful town of Bergerac, start of the wine area, is 30mns away.
Further details
Each villages in the area take turns for market day. Hence, there is not one day in the week without one of those local attractions happening in the vicinity. The Tuesday Le Bugue market is renowned in the whole area, and is just over 10mns drive. You will find there all other shops, pharmacies, and supermarkets.
Cendrieux, our village, is 5mns walk away and has a supermarket, and a post office.
Booking notes
25% of rental fee will secure your booking.
Full payment is due 8 weeks prior to commencement of your booking.
A refundable security deposit of £500 will be asked with full payment.
The cottages are to be left as you would like to find them. However, we offer an end of stay cleaning service for £50 per cottages.
