This house is a breton longere surrounded by fields and forest, only 2 minutes from the village of Plumelin near the market town of Locminé. The house has a fitted kitchen, a big living room, a bathroom and a double bedroom on the ground floor. There are five bedrooms and another bathroom on the first floor.

Changeover day
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise agreed. Rentals begin at 4pm on the day of arrival and guests are requested to leave at 10am on the day of departure. This gives us time to prepare the property for the next guests.

Notes on accommodation
Guests are asked to smoke only outside. This house has electric heating with radiators on thermostat (heating is included in the price). This house is equipped with toys, books, DVD’s and videos for children. Highchair and beds available for the young.
Outside
There is a lawn around the house with a range of trees and parking for several cars. There are pleasant views of the countryside. There is a big terrace (with one part covered and another part open) with BBQ and table with chairs. The terrace and the lawn with a swing make a great suitable area for children.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Vannes (Conleau) or Carnac approx 20 miles away. Otherwise, you can take the boat to visite the Golfe of the Morbihan and its islands.
Golf
The nearest golf courses within 20 miles drive, but there is a large choice of 5 18 hole in Morbihan.
Travel
The nearest airport is at Rennes (approx 1 hour drive away) and the nearest seaport is Roscoff and Saint-Malo (approx 2 hours). These are ferry ports. A car will be necessary to fully explore Brittany.
Distances
The nearest town is Locminé (approx 2 miles from the longere). It's a town with a lot of shops, bars, supermarkets, cinema, a swimming pool and restaurants, bakery, boules court, and tennis. Don't miss the local market on Thursday. The biggest cities around are Vannes, a medieval walled city, and Pontivy (approx 15 miles each). You can also visit the megaliths at Carnac.
Further details
There are lots of interesting places to walk in the countryside here. There are a lot of footpaths or cycling in the area of Plumelin, and interesting cities to visit by car. There are many lovely towns including Locminé, Pontivy, Auray and also Vannes, a very lovely town: formerly a Gallo-Roman capital and home to the Dukes of Brittany, Vannes is today one of the most outstanding towns in Brittany for its architectural heritage. There are churches, parks and castles, museums, things to do like the cinema, bowling, aquarium, discothèques, pubs, coffee-bars, and sports activities like the swimming pool, rowing, cycling, horse riding, sea kayaking, parachuting, adventures park, ice rink, fishing, wind-surfing, diving, quad, roller, archery, sailing and karting.
