Notes on prices
Prices on this site are per person/night min. 6 persons, max. 10 persons). The weekly price for max. 10 persons is Euro 2850, selfsufficient. Reductions: 10% for additional weeks. 4 day option: Euro 1950.-. The end-cleaning is included. We trust our guests that they leave Château la Choltière as it would be their own.
Changeover day
We are flexible concerning arrival or departure dates but would preferre a minimum stay of one week . Long weekends are also possible

Notes on accommodation
Well educated children are welcome. The chateau is beautifully furnished and there is the danger of pool and lake. We are a non-smoker-house. Unfortunately we cannot accept any pets.
We have enough separated pasture ground for horses and a small stable as well.
Accessibility
The ground floor can be accessed by wheelchairs.
Outside
The swimming pool size is 17.50 x 6 m. Open April to October. We can heat it by extra charge. Lovely surrounding with lot of space for sun-chairs etc. Whirlpool in the wintergarden. The chateau is surrounded with a huge park (45'000 qm2). There are 2 barbecue-places, one covered in a caban outside) and simple golf practise (net).
There are 10 bikes and a rowing boat. You can also catch fish(Carp).
Coast/Beach
200 km to la Rochelle. Beuatiful city with harbour.
Ile de Rey, Saint Martin: Easy to reach if you get up early.
Golf
The nearest wonderful 18-hole course is near Châteauroux "Val de l'Indre" (35km). We can offer to our guests a green-fee reduction (Greenfees from 35.--). There are other courses in Roche-Posay, Poitiers etc.
You can chipp everywhere in our park, practise into a net or hit over the lake with swimming balls.

Since there are also 10 bikes, big lawn for gymnastics etc, we recommend our house also to people who think of organising their own course.

About the owner
We are a Swiss Family who owns Château la Choltière for many years. When our children where small, they loved to have their pony and to feed the geese and ducks. They also have learnt how to arrange beautiful
tables for dinner and what to make with the fruit of the trees. They also love the beautiful piano and the pool.
Now, our girl studies at the hotel school in Lausanne and the sun has chosen to work at a bank after the matura.
We love the Château with all our heart and gladly rent it out to friendly guests as to share the charme of this small paradise.
There are no better times than to be there with family and friends, cook together and have fun.
We also like to play golf on the different courses around.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought Château la Choltière in order to follow up the dream of our godfather who died too early.........
Its location is peaceful and calm but not far away from a charming small city. There are plenty of interesting things to see and of course also a lot of different Chateaus in the Loire Valley.
It is a small paradise where also gees, ducks and peacocks feel at home stresslessly.
La Choltière is the most wonderful place to stay with family and friends and to have time for each other.
Of course it could also be the elegant frame for business. If you should have an own Helicopter, you could even land in the park ....
Unique benefits of the property
While staying at the property you enjoy an elegant ambiente and total privacy. The property is completely surrounded by a hedge and there are big old trees in the park. There is a big pool (17x7m) and two lakes. You can catch your own fish on the lake or bring your hourse with you.
It is amazing to watch the gees and ducks while sitting on the terrace.
There are bycicles for your free disposal to descover the region.
Each of the 5 bedrooms has its own bathroom. That makes it easy to share the Château with friends.
