It is ideally situated in lovely countryside, 8km from Cherbourg and only 30 minutes from superb Gulf Stream beaches opposite Jersey. The Mews Cottage overlooks the main courtyard and the beautifully restored 18th Century Carriage House, south-west facing and forms part of the large front garden courtyard of the Chateau. The building dates from 1751 and has many unusual features and plenty of space - giant oak beams, Douglas redwood floors, 18th Century local stone fireplaces, an unusual dome shaped kitchen and 5 sets of French windows.

Charming 18th century cottage converted from the Chateau Carriage Houses, overlooking the main courtyard. Large luminous 6.5 x 6.5m living room with armchairs & sofa , French TV & video player, woodburning stove & dining area & an open plan kitchen which has oven, four hotplates, microwave, fridge /freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Downstairs cloakroom and wc. There is a small area outside for tables and chairs and parking for one car only. Stairs leads up to the first floor where there is a twin bedroom, bathroom and double bedroom with typical Norman 'lit clos' double bed. Stairs lead to 2nd floor spacious mezzanine with single 'bateau lit' bed. The Mews is heated by electric heaters and a large Godin woodburner. |

The carriage house is an ideal base from which to explore Normandy or just to holiday in beautiful surroundings.
