An original Girondine farmhouse dating back to 1840 which has been converted to form a family home and 2 gites. The property is nestled amongst the vineyards of the Entre Deux Mer region which is a relatively unspoilt area of SW France. Our rural location is an ideal base to explore the Bastide towns of the region, the bustling farmers' markets, the coastal areas of Biscarosse and Arcachon and of course St Emilion and Bordeaux. Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday with check-in at 4 pm and check-out by 10.30am. A linen change is provided for a 2 week booking.

This gite contains 1 double and 1 twin bedded room. There is a shower room on the 1st floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and washing machine. |

Notes on accommodation
Both gites are supplied with French TV/DVD players (we offer DVDs but would suggest that you consider bringing some of your own personal choice DVDs!). We also have a wide selection of books and games available and CD players in both gites.
Outdoor facilities include table tennis, badminton equipment and boules and of course a swimming pool.
Outside
We have a shared swimming pool of 12m x 6m and a terraced area to enjoy the sunshine.
Both gites are supplied with their own BBQs and garden furniture.
Coast/Beach
Biscarosse and Arcachon are located approx one and a half hours away. They are lovely sandy beaches with fabulous seafood restaurants. Closer to Les Agathes is Blasimon (10 mins) which offers an inland lake/beach and play area which is ideal for smaller children. In addition Hostens (60 mins) has a larger inland swimming area together with pedaloes, canoes etc.
We would also recommend the 55km cycle track running from Sauveterre to Bordeaux. This has been created from a disused railway track.
Golf
Our nearest golf course is Graves et Sauternes which is situated in Langon, approx 20 mins away from the property. In addition there are numerous other golf courses in our region which include Chateau Des Vigiers and Pessac ( near Bordeaux).
Travel
St Malo - 5 and a half hours drive (600km). Bergerac Airport - 1 hour drive. Bordeaux Merignac Airport - 45 mins drive.
Distances
La Reole 5 mins drive with all local commerce. St Emilion 30 mins drive. Monsegur 20 mins drive. Duras 35 mins. Bazas 40 mins. Bordeaux 45 mins drive.
Further details
Supermarkets can be found in both La Reole and Sauveterre de Guyenne. Hypermarkets in the larger towns of Langon and Marmande. Casual and more formal dining are found throughout the area and include pizzerias, Le Relais and Routiers restaurants.
Banks and other commercial activities are found in la Reole
The lovely bastide towns of Sauveterre de Guyenne, Monsegur and Duras are just a short car ride away.
