Villa Les Peupliers. A charming Provençale villa for 8 people with sole use of pool and tennis court. Near the delightful ‘village de caractere’ of Cotignac . The villa has easy access and backs onto its own woodland with extensive flat ground , large private swimming pool (11.5m x 5m), pool house, solar shower, loungers, all-weather tennis court, large grass area ideal for football and ball game, garage. outside - large terrace (partly shaded, partly sunny) with built-in barbecue, ideal for al fresco dining . Ping pong table and boules, footballs and various pool games. Cotignac has restaurants, bars, cafes and a wide range of small shops, a doctor, pharmacy etc. and twice-weekly markets. It has been designated a ‘village de caractere’. Cotignac is situated in the interior of Var in the centre of Provence at 230m altitude; this is a city of character. Further details
The village nestles below a failaise (cliff) of gigantic proportions composed of Tufa rock riddled with caves. The cliff is dramatically floodlit throughout the year and provides a marvellous backdrop to the pantiled houses and narrow winding streets. The open air theatre, which is set against the cliff, stages performances of classical music, dance and drama throughout the summer months. The charming village summer fetes which take place every weekend throughout the region provide an amusing entertainment for the whole family with music and dancing, paid for by the local communities. The great rock which stretches for about 400m. is quite an amazing sight. The moving sun aIters the shadows which in turn are constantly changing the aspect ot the sides of the clift. One can see at different times, giant stalactites, ledges, and deep crags. All of this hovering 80m. above the houses built at the bottom. Take the time to make a detour. You'll fall under the charm of this village like no other.

Firstly, let me thank you for letting us stay at your lovely villa. It was what we had hoped for and more! The cleanliness of the villa was of a high standard and we found Danielle charming and helpful. We actually spent so much time in the villa playing boules, tennis, swimming etc that we didn’t see as much of the area as we had hoped! But it was nice for the first week of our break just to unwind. We will certainly be recommending your villa to our friends and hopefully be back ourselves someday.
Must tell you that we had a fantastic time and sincerely wished we had booked for 2 weeks (or preferably for a month).It was an incredibly peaceful and relaxing house, with such lovely expanses of land around we felt really free.
A wonderful base for exploring the region, the villa is very well kept and clean. A great outdoor area for the kids to play and explore and lots of games for them to play. We would definitely go back to visit in the future. Thanks for a great time.
