It is situated in the heart of the Dordogne countryside, just a few minutes from the Bastide town of Villefranche, approximately 1hr from Bordeaux Airport and 40 mins from Bergerac Airport.

Notes on prices
All prices are per week for the entire property and include linen, towels and cleaning. Bookings are Sunday to Sunday.
Changeover day
Sunday arrival 4pm. Sunday departure 10am.

Le Plein Soleil is perfect for families with young children as the main patio area looks directly over the pool. The pool is also alarmed and life jackets are also available in 3 different sizes.

Accessibility
The house is all on the ground floor and totally accessible for wheelchairs (apart from the mezzanine bedroom).
Outside
Le Plein Soleil is surrounded by approx 3/4 acre of garden and trees which is further encompassed by approx 3 acres of farmer's pasture. This property offers total tranquility while still being close to the major market town of Ste. Foy de la Grande. The property is not overlooked and deer can often be seen in the surrounding pasture.
The front of the house is bordered by a large patio area running the entire length of the house and protected by a large retractable awning. This patio area looks directly over the swimming pool which has a large tiled patio surround perfect for sunbathing. Wooden table and chairs are situated on the patio and 6 heavy duty sun loungers by the pool. The remainder of the garden is mostly lawn with a significant number of mature trees and fruit trees.
At the back of the house is a large wooden deck (from kitchen) with table and chairs, perfect for breakfast. The deck looks over a large parking area and the BBQ area.
Golf
World class golf is available at the Chateau de Vigiers golf course, about 30 minutes drive.

Further details
Le Plein Soleil is just 5 mins from a natural lake at Lac du Gurcon. The lake has a beach area including beach bars and activites for children including a water slide.
The town of Castillon is just 15 mins away - here you can visit the re-enactment of the end of the 100 years war which occured in Castillon. It is a truly spectacular event with over 500 actors. (July and August only)
The famous wine town of St. Emilion is 30 mins drive away. Lunch in the square here is a must.
The nearby market town of St Foy de la Grande has a great market every Saturday and lots of great restaurants.
Other even nearer restaurants include Le Peche Mignon and Le Pressoir.
Le Plein Soleil is maintained by the owner's English ex-hoteliers Aunt and Uncle who live 5 miles away. They will meet you at the house and give you any local information that you need. They are also on hand to organise vineyard tours and to help you with any emergencies.

Booking deposit is 25% with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to your holiday. A booking form can be downloaded from our website.
Guest comments
Le Plein Soleil met and surpassed all our expectations and this was our most enjoyable family holiday ever.
The house itself and the grounds we totally fell in love with and it is a wrench leaving.
The wildlife we have seen just sitting around the pool! Foxes in the garden, buzzards flying overhead and deer grazing in the fields.
