A pretty, south-facing, wisteria clad, cottage-style villa set in an acre of olive terraces and with beautiful views over the surrounding country and across hills to the Esterel National Park. Only 10 minutes’ walk along a quiet country lane to the many shops, restaurants and market in the village of Fayence, yet on the edge of some of the finest walking countryside in the area. With living all on one level, the house has two double bedrooms and one twin, a bathroom with toilet plus a separate toilet. The villa is newly furnished and well equipped. Flat screen satellite TV. A recent innovation is the addition of broadband wireless internet access and free telephone calls throughout Europe, USA and Canada). At the lower level is a separate garage, laundry room and games room with drinks fridge. A large terrace leads directly to the swimming pool. A wood burning stove and electric radiators make the villa suitable for winter lets (long term rates available).

| Bedrooms: | All bedrooms are comfortably furnished, 2 with queen sized beds. Bedroom 3 has twin beds. All have bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and wardrobes. A cot can be provided on request. Carpets, rugs and pictures complete the cosy atmosphere. |
| Bathrooms: | The bathroom, with shower and toilet, is modern and attractively tiled. A vanity unit with shelves and an under cupboard has a well lit mirror. Heated towel rail. There is an additional separate toilet. |
| Kitchen: | A well fitted kitchen with 4 ring stove, dish washer, freezer, fridge, hob, microwave and oven. All pots, pans, tools, etc. to allow full catering. French windows lead to shaded upper terrace with table, chairs and BBQ. |
| Utility Room: | The large basement of the villa, at garden level, serves as a games room with table tennis table, washing machine and drinks fridge. A separate room is equipped with children’s games. |
| Living Rooms: | Combined dining/living room with table and 6 chairs. Living area has open fireplace and comfortable seating for 6. Entertainment system includes radio and CD/DVD player. Flat screen satellite TV and internet wireless broadband. French windows to terrace. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and towels are provided (not swimming towels). The villa will be cleaned on arrival. Mid-stay linen provided for two week bookings. Additional cleaning can be provided at a supplement. |

A cot can be provided on request. While smoking is not barred, out of consideration to non-smoking clients, smokers are asked to confine it to balconies and terrace.

Outside
There is a shaded eating area on the upper terrace outside the kitchen and living room. Steps lead from the upper terrace to the lower sunbathing terrace and pool. A baby gate is available to enclose the upper terrace. The pool terrace is equipped with outdoor furniture, table and sunshade. Pool dimensions are 6.57m x 3.7m x 1.3m deep, ideal for children.
Please note that because of sloping garden terrain, very young children will need careful supervision, older children will love the freedom of the outdoor space.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at La Napoule, 15 miles away but all forms of water sports are to be found on the magnificent Lac de St Cassien within 15 minutes drive of the villa.
Distances
Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Juan Les Pins and the other fashionable resorts of the Cote d'Azur are all within easy reach from Fayence but the coast gets extremely busy in the summer and those who prefer a more leisurely environment may prefer to explore the historical villages in the region: Mons, Callian, Bargemon and St Cezaire. The Gorges of Verdon and Siagne are wonderful sights. A wide range of restaurants can be found, both in the village and in the valley, providing regional recipes.
Further details
Fayence has a colourful local market in the village square 3 times a week. Here you will find local pottery and fabrics as well as fresh vegetables, cheeses and local specialties. Near-by is the local Marché Paysan (Farmers Market) which is open 6 days a week in the summer. Farmers from the local area bring their own produce fresh each morning to the market. Produce rarely seen at home can be found - white aubergines and courgettes flowers, for example. Eggs sold here are fresh from the hen and you can pick your own salads from a huge variety of leaves. Browse around the shelves of farm produce for locally made cheeses, wines and preserves.
Local Activities . Fayence boasts a new Cultural centre with indoor and outdoor theatres presenting theatre, concerts, ballets and films throughout the year. In addition there are exhibition rooms for art displays. The municipal tennis courts and pool are a 5 min drive from the house. There are many golf courses, including Terre Blanche. A newly established Health Spa is proving to be popular. Fayence itself is a famous international gliding centre offering trial flights for beginners as well as a truly spectacular gliding environment for experienced pilots. Horse riding is available locally and all levels of walking can be found in the surrounding countryside. All forms of water sports are to be found on the magnificent Lac de St Cassien within 15 mins drive of the villa.
