Les Marais is our recently renovated gite in the Dordogne, it is a charming 2 ensuite bedroom contemporary holiday home providing high quality accommodation for 4 or 6 guests. The south-facing terrace enjoys 180° views of the valley from which to experience picturesque sunsets. The property is easily accessible, whilst providing complete privacy and tranquillity to relax and unwind. Its 3½ acres are surrounded by vineyards, orchards and fields of sunflowers.

Changeover day
People can gain access to the property from 4pm on the 1st day of your stay and we ask that you vacate by 10am on the last day of your stay.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 comes with a Kingsize bed and Bedroom 2 with Twin beds. Both bedrooms include large chest of drawers, hanging space with coathangers and bedside tables. They both also have hairdryers. |
| Bathrooms: | Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with shower/baths. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with gas oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher and microwave. |
| Utility Room: | There is a washing machine, a separate WC with hand-basin, cleaning equipment, ironing-board and iron and a clothes airer for outside. |
| Living Rooms: | There is a comfortable armchair and 2 sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed, a widescreen LCD TV, DVD player which also plays audio CDs and Sky satellite. |

Towels and linen are included. For stays of more than 10 days in duration, a clean mid-stay is included. |

Outside
Our 3½ acres are mostly lawn for you to enjoy. The south-facing terrace has a barbecue and patio furniture. There is a newly installed private swimming pool complete with south-facing decking and sun-loungers. You can also relax in our double hammock under the trees.
Coast/Beach
2 hour drive to the Atlantic coast stretching from the Garonne at Bordeaux down to the Spanish border, comprising the largest beach in Europe.
Excellent surfing at Lacanau-Ocean.
Golf
Chateau Les Vigiers at Monestier. Parkland course 15 minutes drive away.
Chateau Les Merles at Mouleydier. Challenging tree-lined course 20 minutes drive away.
Travel
Bergerac Airport (Roumanieres) is 15 mins drive away. Car hire is recommended. Saint Malo, the nearest port, is 6 hours drive away. TGV from Paris - Libourne - Gardonne which is 2 mins drive away.
Distances
Saussignac is 2km away. Ste Foy La Grande, which is a larger town, is 12km away. Bergerac is 19km away.

Gardonne has a small supermarket, 3 bakers, a butcher, a post office, a tabac/bar and is 1km away.
Booking notes
Booking can be made on our website. We ask for a deposit to be paid to secure your booking. Full payment for your holiday is to be made no later than 8 weeks from the start of your hire period. Once we have checked the property after your stay and everything is in a satisfactory condition, your booking deposit will be returned to you.
If you pay for your deposit/holiday by bank transfer to avoid our credit card costs, we will leave a bottle of champagne in the gite for your arrival.
