A Californian designer transformed this house into an open, light, unfussy home. Refreshingly modern and light yet very comfortable throughout. An open-plan downstairs with modern kitchen, comfortable living area with a woodburning stove that warms the whole house. The garden, terraces and courtyard are all very private, overseen by no-one. All year round the courtyard is a delightful sanctuary to spend time reading, writing, playing cards or eating by candlelight. The village wins awards every year for its floweriness! Golfers, walkers and cyclists are spoilt for choice, historians, chateaux/garden lovers, twitchers too. Montreuil-sur-Mer is adorned with flowers and is steeped in historical interest. Nearby Le Touquet is famous for its quaint airport, equestrian & other sports, the casino, chic boutiques, large market twice a week and numerous fine food & fish shops. Wine lovers and gastronomes particularly enjoy this area.

Guest comments
We're family friends and go over regularly to stay at the house and spent our honeymoon there in September. It's our favourite hide-away home, we light the fire, fall back into the sofa by the burning wood-stove and read, eat and really relax. There's so much to see all around. You can be a big adventurer one day, lay out by the sea the next, do the holiday historic stuff another day and let the lady wife go boutique shopping while you try out the cafes and shop for the lovely wine and pop your head into the antique shops.
