Chalet Fleur des Roches ("Rockflower”) has that classic savoyard look found in the alpine pastures above St Gervais and nearby villages. It is located at the end of a quiet residential street, in the old part of town, not far from the centre of the village and surrounded by other chalets and typical local houses. There are stunning views across to the Mt d'Arbois ski slopes and down the Chamonix valley. Access to the St Gervais/Megeve ski area is from the village and Chamonix is a short drive away. The Les Houches ski area and Mt Blanc walks is linked from just below the chalet via the Tramway Mt Blanc. Les Contamines, Praz-sur-Arly and Flumet ski areas are all within 15 minutes drive. Equipped to high standards, the chalet has a traditional woodburning fire, electric and underfloor heating, an office/sitting area with additional mezzanine twin room over, an enclosed private garden with sun deck area around 3 sides of the property and ample parking for 3-4 cars.

Further details
The spa resort of Saint-Gervais is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc and has attracted tourists since 1806 for its therapeutic waters. At an altitude of 850 metres, St Gervais’ first ski lifts were installed in the 1930’s. With access into its own ski area linked with Megeve, it has recently found new popularity, particularly with families. Set in a narrow river gorge halfway between Megève and Chamonix, the landscape is impressive wherever you look and a trip up the mountain on the Mont-Blanc Tramway is not to be missed. There’s a good choice of bars, restaurants, bakeries & creperies (not to mention the chocolate!) and several supermarkets to use for everyday essentials. The local market comes to town on a Thursday with a range of Savoyard treats.
Various festivals and concerts are held in the town throughout the year and it has an excellent theatre and cinema. A festival of Comedy is held each March. See the tourist office website for details of events coming up.

Guest comments
"I can't fault the chalet at all (once we got the hang of the baby gate) and would love to come back in winter."
