Located in a small village in the Côtes du Rhône area of Provence, the villa is built in a traditional local style with wooden beams and terracotta tiling defining the interiors. It benefits from external eating and entertaining areas useable in the spring and summer months, although the clement weather often permits their use at other times of the year. There is a pool in a fenced off area which will be opened from around late May. The area surrounding the villa is dominated by vineyards and traditional Provençale countryside, with Mont Ventoux and the mountain range of les Dentelles de Montmirail visible and accessible in the distance. The villa is ideally located for country walking, mountain biking, wine tasting and cultural visits to historic centres such as Avignon, Orange, Vaison la Romaine, Mornas, Arles, Nîmes, Aix en Provence, Les Baux, Chateauneuf.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in Euros and UK Pounds and include all utilities and pool maintenance. Bed linen and bathroom towels can be brought for their own use by the tenants themselves. Alternatively they can be hired at a cost of €18 (€14.50) per person. Please let us know in advance and we can arrange for these to be ready on arrival.

The prices quoted for low and mid season stays are subject to negotiation depending on demand. Please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss.

Changeover on Saturday. Depart by 10am, arrive after 4pm.

Bedroom 4: bunk bed sleeping two people.
Two additional provisional single beds can be provided to sleep a total 10 people in the house.
Bathrooms: Bathroom 1: part of the master bedroom area on ground floor, benefits from shower, bath, two basins and bidet. Separate WC.
Bathroom 2: serving bedrooms 2, 3 and 4, benefits from shower, bath and two basins. Separate WC.
Kitchen: Kitchen includes electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and two sinks.
Utility Room: Utility room includes a washing machine, dishwasher and sink.
Living Rooms: The sitting room and dining room area comprise a splendid double height beamed vaulted ceiling, dominated by a grand fireplace. A long banqueting table can seat up to 10 people for meals. Corner settee, TV (local) and DVD player.

 

Notes on accommodation
Swimming pools are extremely dangerous, especially for children or adults who are uneasy in water. The swimming pool is fenced from the house and benefits from an alarm. The latter cannot always be relied upon to ensure the safety of unsupervised children. Please always supervise children, regardless of age, at any time by the pool or in the surrounding area.

Outside
The patio area in front of the house provides eating space for 10 people in the shade. A covered terrace at the side of the house overlooks the pool and provides a very comfortable area for relaxation during the day and drinks and cocktails in the evening. A cobbled area around the two car garage provides an area for children to kick a ball or play simple racquet sports if they wish.

Coast/Beach
Beaches can be accessed in the area of Marseille and Cassis, to the south. They can be accessed in about 1.5 hours by car from the villa, heading south on the A7 autoroute.

Skiing
Mont Ventoux (max altitude 1900m) benefits from a minor ski resort with simple downhill runs and cross country skiing capability, snow permitting. It can be accessed within 45 minutes of the villa by car.
Further afield are the ski resorts around the beautiful town of Gap in the Alpes du Sud: Super Devoluy, La Joue du Loup, Ceuze. These can be accessed within 2-2.5 hours from the villa by car and offer good skiing in the winter months.

Marseille airport: (British Airways, Ryan Air, Easyjet) approx 1.5 hours by car.
Nîmes airport: (Ryanair) approx. 1 hour by car.
Avignon: (for TGV high-speed train to Paris, London (via Lille or Paris) approx. 45 mins by car.
