Les Lauriers, a lovely detached cottage set on the edge of the picturesque village of Faverolles-en-Berry, retains a traditional French feel with oak beams, tiled floors and French furniture whilst providing all modern comforts. There is a small enclosed back garden and large garden beyond with stream and old bread oven. The village of Faverolles en Berry, 10 minutes from St Aignan sur Cher, is a centre of many beautiful walks and cycle runs, all clearly marked. Wildlife abounds in this vicinity! There is a fishing pond and football pitch next to the cottage, and it is a five minute walk up to the village shop, which sells most things including bread, croissants and pain au chocolats. There is also a post office and a beautiful church.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Long lets (discounted) and short breaks available. Please ask for prices. For winter lets (November - February) please add £30 (45 euros)p/w for electricity.

Changeover day
Usual changeover day is Saturday, but this is flexible outside of high season.

There is a small enclosed back garden and a large garden to the front and side which is bordered by a tiny stream. The old Four a Pain (bread oven) is in the garden. Garden furniture, parasol and BBQ are provided.

St Aignan train station: 15 minutes by car.
Tours Airport : 1 hour 15 mins.
Caen: approx 4 hours.
Dover: approx 6 hours.

Distance to shop: 50m.
Distance to restaurants/cafes: 12 km.
Local attractions include countryside walks and cycle routes and in St Aignan (12 km)a swimming pool, river swimming, tennis courts, boating, vineyards. There are restaurants here, historic buildings, a zoo and cinema.

There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area:
The Loire chateaux, aquariums, Futuroscope, the historic city of Blois with its stunning chateau, museums, cathedral, abbey and basilica, the royal town of Amboise with its chateau, medieval streets and pageants, the medieval town of Loches and Bourges with renowned cathedral and stained glass windows.
Being the 'Garden of France' opportunities abound for wine tasting at local vineyards, enjoying local produce such as cheese, frequenting local markets, cooking or eating out at the many excellent restaurants.
Easy road and rail access to Paris, Orleans, Poitiers and Tours.

Bookings made within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday must be paid for in full and in advance of occupation of the property.
For a booking made more than 8 weeks before your holiday starts we require a deposit of 25% of the cost of the rental with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to the arrival date.
