Notes on accommodation
The first floor area benefits from underfloor heating and the air conditioning is reversible throughout.
The first floor and ground floor areas both benefit from covered terracing that have excellent views over the surrounding countryside.
Wifi internet access is available free of charge.
Outside
The house is situated on a three acre site with a landscaped garden. The heated pool is 10m x 5m and has an electric cover. Other facilities include a barbeque, boulesdrome, table tennis table and 2 bicycles. There are two large garden tables for outside dining and eight sun loungers.
Coast/Beach
A variety of beautiful Mediterranean beaches can be found within a drive of about 75 minutes.
Golf
Carcassonne golf course is about 15 minutes drive from the house. It is a well maintained, beautiful course with views of the Pyrenees and Black Mountains.
Beziers and Cap d'Agde golf courses are both about 75 mins away.
Skiing
The nearest ski station is about an hour's drive away.
Travel
The nearest airport is Carcassonne, which is about 15 minutes drive away. Other airports include Toulouse and Perpignan, both one hours drive, and Montpelier 90 minutes drive.
Car hire is essential to gain the most from your holiday in this delightful and interesting region.
Distances
Situated 17km from Carcassonne, with its magnificent medieval city and 17km from Limoux. The near vicinity boasts an array of exquisite villages, historical sites such as Cathar castles and ancient abbeys, the Black Mountains and the Canal du Midi. Toulouse, Narbonne, Montpellier, the Mediterranean Sea and the beautiful Pyrenees are all under 90 minutes drive away.
Further details
There are a variety of villages with amenities all within a 10 minute drive. There are also two large supermarkets within 15 minutes drive. Carcassonne, which is 15 minutes drive away, is an interesting town that has excellent shops, banks, tourist information, a twice-weekly food market and some of the best restaurants you will ever experience.
Booking notes
Rental includes gas, electricity, garden and pool maintenance, linen (other than for the cot), towels and welcome pack (bread, milk, butter etc.) on arrival. A 30% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival. A damage deposit of £500 is required at the time of payment of the balance of the rental monies. This deposit is refundable less any amount required for damages, breakages or additional cleaning costs.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Montclar. Having, over the years, stayed in many holiday homes across the globe, some belonging to friends and others we have rented, we have not previously come across a house which was so well furnished and equipped.
