Recently renovated Gite, sleeping 6 with 10m x 5m pool. Set in 5 acres of meadow and woodland with beautiful views across a valley. The properties are situated 1.5km outside the village of Cenac, which has a good selection of shops and amenities and lies on the River Dordogne.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Please vacate the property by 12.00. Arrival time should be after 16.00.

Outside
The 10m x 5m swimming pool has a security fence and is also used by the owners (normally when not in use by the client). The gite has its own patio area with table and chairs for eating outside.
Coast/Beach
It is about a 4 hour drive to the nearest coast (Arcachon)
but it is possible to swim in the river.
Golf
Golf is available in beautiful surroundings at Vitrac, the next village along the River Dordogne (approx 4km). Visitors are welcome and can pay per round. Leaflet giving details is available in the house.
Travel
Bergerac airport is approx 50 miles (1 hour). Toulouse airport is approx 110 miles (2 hours). Limoges airport is approx 100 miles (2 hours). It is an eight hour drive from Le Havre and ten hours from Calais (times are approximate).
Distances
Sarlat - a medieval town is about 6 miles away
Cenac the local village is 1 mile away
The chateaux at Beynac and Castelnaud are about 5 miles
Monpazier, a hill-top fortified town, is about 23 miles
The Trogolodyte caves at Les Eyzies are about 20 miles
Further details
The supermarket (Shopi) is open 9-12 and 3-7 Monday to Saturday and 9-12 on Sunday morning 9-12 (high season only).It is also open lunch-times in July & August
There is a butcher, two bakers, a wine store a pizza stall, three bars (all do plat du jour lunches) a restaurant and a creperie. There is another restaurant (a bit more upmarket) on the road to Sarlat (about a mile north of Cenac).
Booking notes
Please book by e-mail. There is a requirement for a 25% deposit(non-refundable) with the balance due two months before the actual holiday dates. We ask for a £200 deposit against damages, this will only be cashed in the event of damage.

Normally you reach your accommodation hoping it lives up to the website. What a delight to have all your expectations surpassed. The house is fantastic and spacious and has all the amenities you'll need and set in beautiful grounds. The area is superb for things to do and relaxing if you choose to do little. This was our first experience of a gite holiday after caravanning in France for the last 15 years. What a delight to have so much space and a pool all to ourselves! Fantastic place - thoroughly recommend it! Our only problem now is finding another gite next year which lives up to this. Joe and Nicola Garner and family, Shevington. Lancs.
