At Maison de la Rose Blanche we offer a choice of 4 large double en suite rooms which have been furnished with traditional French and English antiques. All our bedrooms have been decorated to provide a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Surrounded by lovely countryside with numerous rivers and woodland walks, we are situated between the medieval towns of Montmorillon and Le Dorat and the market town of Bussiere Poitevine. The area is an excellent base from which to explore the many delightful towns and places of interest and is halfway between Limoges and Poitiers. We look forward to welcoming you to our home. We have also recently opened a bar/cafe where we serve snacks and drinks.

We welcome well behaved pets and children and can provide a cot and highchair if required. Although the house is non-smoking, guests are welcome to use outside areas to smoke if they wish.

We have a courtyard and patio area available where guests can sit and enjoy lovely views across the rolling countryside.
Coast/Beach
The wonderful town of La Rochelle is approximately 2 hours drive and Lac Saint Pardoux is very close, with it's 3 sandy beaches.
Travel
We are equal distance between Limoges and Poitiers airports - approximately 45 minutes and both provide good value car hire. There are good rail connections to most major towns from both Le Dorat and Montmorillon. Driving from Calais takes about 8 hours, Le Havre is about 7 hours and approximately 4.5 hours from St. Malo.

Further details
There are many things to do in the area including visiting the historic village of Oradour Sur Glane and the spectacular medieval town of Chavigny. There is a variety of sporting activities including fishing, horse riding, canoeing and kayaking and numerous other water sports at Lac St. Pardoux. Limoges and Poitiers are both fantastic cities to visit for sightseeing and shopping and of course, Futurascope which is a unique theme park dedicated to all things futuristic! There are numerous restaurants and bars in the local area which we would be happy to recommend and reserve for you. The village has it's own shop and there is an excellent hypermarket at nearby Montmorillon which stocks a huge range of wines. In the region there are many interesting activities happening throughout the year ranging from car boot sales, music and theatre festivals, street markets and, of course, the many village fetes that occur throughout the year. We always keep a note on what's happening in the area and would be happy to advise you, especially for activities that are weather dependant!
