Spacious family gite with large private indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna. Situated within walking distance of Erbray village, the gite is not isolated and only 8km from the historic market town of Châteaubriant. Originally an old milking parlour, the property has been lovingly converted to accommodate up to ten guests in comfort. The indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and optional sauna are for your private use and not shared with either the owners or any other guests for the duration of your stay. The pool-room is reached via a 20 metre stroll through the landscaped garden which features an (unfenced) Koi carp pond, separate games area, illuminated dining pagoda with BBQ and a timber decked sun-bathing terrace. This gite, with it's private facilities, will appeal to demanding guests seeking more than just ordinary holiday accommodation. Notes on prices
Our weekly gite rental rates start at just £695 during the low season (without the swimming pool) but with access to the pay as you use Sauna.
All rates are based on number of occupants and desired dates. Mid season (with heated pool) from £995pw - High season (with heated pool) from £1295pw - Peak season (with heated pool) from £1495pw. For pricing confirmation please email confirming size of party (maximum of ten including children) and your required dates.
Changeover day
Changeover days during the peak season run Saturday to Saturday only. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 16.30pm and are asked to vacate by 10am the following Saturday. Only by adhering to these time are we able to maintain our high standards.

Notes on accommodation
The gite is fully centrally heated, making it suitable for year round availability. It boasts 5 bedrooms (includng one children's bedroom) and comfortably sleeps up to ten guests (including children). Three bath/shower rooms, a very spacious lounge, a fully fitted country kitchen/breakfast room and separate dining room that comfortably seats up to ten guests. All rooms are of a good size and have been tastefully decorated, combining both original features with essential modern day creature comforts. Oscillating fans and electronic insect repellent devices are provided free of charge in every room. Portable air-conditioning units are available to rent should the heat become excessive during the hot summer months. All bedroom radiators are fitted with thermostats for individual temperature control.
Accessibility
For guests who may have difficulty in negotiating stairs, there is a ground floor twin single bedroom with adjacent bathroom and WC. Please note that there is a step leading down from the dining room into the lounge. The gite is surrounded by a gravel drive, which can be difficult to negotiate by wheelchair users.
Outside
The gite is situated within private grounds adjacent to the owner’s farmhouse. Parents with young children should note that the garden has an unfenced Koi carp pond. The garden features a covered and illuminated alfresco dining pagoda with brick built BBQ, wooden dining table and chairs. A separate games area with a full size table tennis table and badminton/volleyball/basketball nets. A 20 metre stroll through the garden leads to the timber decked sunbathing terrace and entrance to your own (un-shared) private indoor covered swimming pool complex, consisting of a large (1.5m deep) 10 x 5m heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and optional sauna. The pool-room is open in the high season from 09.30am to 08.30pm and at all other times from 10am to 6pm (except on Sunday's when it is closed in the mornings for maintenance, cleaning and balancing). Please note that for health and safety reasons both the Jacuzzi and Sauna are reserved for adult use only.
Coast/Beach
The longest beach in Europe (8km long) at the chic seaside resort of La Baule is just over an hours drive away by car. Great for designer label shopping and gourmet restaurants, it's regarded by many as the St. Tropez of Brittany. Fifteen minutes drive from the Gite is one of the largest inland lakes in the region. It offers a sandy man-made beach with supervised (in July/August) bathing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and water sports. All equipment is available for hire in July and August.
Golf
For the golfing enthusiast there is a 9 hole 21 acre Golf Course with equipment hire just 15 mins away by car. Fun for all the family can be had at the 18 hole Mini Crazy Golf in Chateaubriant. If you are looking for a new golfing experience try Swin Golf played in a beautiful setting with a single very unusual three headed golf club, great fun for all age groups! If you are more serious about your Golf, spend the day at the International Golf course at La Baule (Just over an hours run by car).

We have a full time ‘in-house’ qualified and experienced french language teacher available. French lessons and tuition by the hour or week, taught to all levels and standards. Intensive residential courses available throughout the year. Please enquire for further details.
Learning to swim? Many of our guests have enjoyed teaching their children, friends and family to learn how to swim in the privacy of the private indoor heated swimming pool.
Travel
Thinking of travelling by plane? no problem! Nantes, Rennes and Angers airports are all less than an hour away and we offer an airport taxi service. The closest Ferry port is St. Malo, (hour and a half). Caen and Cherbourg (3 hours) and Dieppe (Four hours). Furthest away are Calais and Boulogne, both about 6 to 7 hours drive. Distances
Our village (Erbray) is just 5 minutes walk and has a park with a children's playground, indoor sports centre, 2 free tennis courts, skateboard park, fishing lake, supermarket, 2 bars, bakers, pharmacy, hairdresser & most importantly a lunchtime Restaurant! The historic market town of Châteaubriant is 10 minutes by car. Erbray is 50 minutes from the Atlantic coast & major cities of Nantes, Rennes & Angers. 2 hours from Futuroscope, Puy du Fou, Le Mans and 4-5 hours from Eurodisney & Paris.

We believe that the decision on what you wish to do on your holiday and with whom you want to spend time, should be yours. Our only involvement is to provide you with the keys to your ‘home from home’ country gite in a region of France not as yet spoilt by tourism. If you and your family or friends are looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday in peace and quiet (yet within easy walking distance of the village and all it's amenities) then this laid back semi-rural retreat may be exactly what the doctor ordered. We believe it grossly unfair to penalise guests who have booked in advance by offering the same holiday at a reduced rate later in the year. Everyone that stays pays the same rates - No matter when the booking is made!
Booking notes
Important - please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover not only your journey but also holiday cancellation and accidental damage. A fully refundable security deposit of £350 or Euros is payable upon arrival. All cash deposits returned in full on morning of departure subject to property inspection and mutually agreed deductions for any and all damage or breakages that may have occurred during your stay. Cheque deposits accepted and returned within 10 days of departure.
