Le Pressoir has been restored to balance authentic rustic charm and retains many original features such as stone walls, oak beams and floors. It has been equipped with luxurious home comforts including 24 hour internet access, iPod docking station, Projector TV with huge motorised screen, an excellent surround sound, Sky Sports, movies and children’s channels, Wii console with great interactive family games, Jacuzzi baths and a 5 burner range cooker. All double beds have luxurious mattress toppers for maximum comfort and include 100% cotton bed linen and towels. We specifically cater for families with children by supplying an extensive library of books, lots of children’s board games and toys from dressing up clothes to train sets, a huge library of videos. For families with babies we also include a steriliser, bottle warmer, food blender, a travel cot, changing mat, baby bath, highchair and push chair.

Accessibility
Our 4 bedroom villa called La Pergola (ref FR2442) has excellent wheelchair access. The barn conversion has specifically been designed with two bedrooms on the ground floor (one large master and one twin) and is easily accessible from the main living areas. For children needing to be near their parents these rooms are just ideal. We also supply ramps to and from the pool area and for the the drive way for easy access.
Outside
The heated shared swimming pool measures 12m x 6m and has been specifically designed and built with children's enjoyment in mind and has both a safety fence and lockable gates. The shallow end has large steps which have been made wider than normal - one is a metre wide which makes an ideal area for young babies and toddlers to play in. The shallow end is only 1.05m deep, ie. shallower than normal, so young children can stand in the water easily. The pool is surrounded by timber decking with sunloungers & plenty of large parasols for shade. An additional raised, decked area by the pool is shaded by a large walnut tree. Under the tree are sunloungers and café-style tables & chairs. It's also a shady area where children can play out of the sun. You will also be delighted with the good quality garden furniture and a large chimney style barbecue which cooks food to perfection! NB - the pool is shared between all three of our gites.
Coast/Beach
Le Pressoir is less than 10 mins from the famous Vendée coast - referred to locally as the Côte-de-Lumière (Coast of Light). The fantastic sandy beaches stretch along 13km, and 8km of them face south. The main beach at La-Tranche-sur-Mer (10 mins away) is ideal for families with children. It is approved as a ‘Kids' Station’, which means that the resort is a safe environment for children to play in. It also has specialist equipment and entertainments which specifically cater for families

Le Pressoir is only three hours from St-Malo and one hour from the airports of Nantes and La Rochelle. With the Vendée's wonderful micro-climate, the luxury accommodation makes a perfect getaway for those wanting a quick, easy trip to sandy beaches and sunshine.
Distances
Le Pessoir is a 2 minute stroll from the centre of Angles, which has a large street market on both Wednesday and Sunday mornings - an excellent opportunity to sample much of the locally produced food, including cheese, meat, fish and wine. Each weekend, Angles organises special events in the square during the summer months with fun days, evening entertainers, jazz nights, firework displays and night market.
Further details
Indian Forest Adventure has marked trails in a forest, as well as 122 different challenges. Suspended on safety harnesses, you are able to climb, swing, dismount and even slide across the forest at a height of 20ft above the ground. There is also an adventure area for toddlers, with themed bouncy castles, a ball park, rock climbing and an inflatable park. This is an excellent day out for both children and adults and is just 5 minutes from our gîtes.
Puy du Fou is where time stands still - and will be an instant hit with children and adults alike. You'll see villages from different eras, gladiators still doing battle and Vikings launching attacks on fortified castles! In the summer, there are 28 evening/night shows with 300 fireworks per show, 2000 digitally-controlled projectors, 1500 computerised fountains, 4500 costumes and many more special effects. There are minstrels in the heart of the woods and master falconers in the meadows.
The gîtes are just an hour's drive from the delightful shops and quayside restaurants of La Rochelle. From the port, you can take to the water and visit Ile d'Aix - and even the famous Fort-Boyard.
The Parc des Floralies (under 10 minutes away) is open all summer and entry is free. The park has a forest of oak and pine trees which cover seven hectares. During the spring, blooming tulips, narcissi, hyacinths, crocuses and amaryllis all produce the most wonderful scents!
La Rochelle's wonderful Aquarium boasts 10,000 specimens from the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the tropics (visit website 1 below for further information). With three million litres of water and 64 different aquariums.
