The three gites are in a pretty courtyard with a shared pool and deck area. There is also a paddock area with swings and a games room with table tennis for children. The garden looks out towards the pretty chapel. The gites have all been recently renovated but retain their charm and all have wood burners. There are many walks close by through pretty woods and peaceful lanes. Huelgoat is about 10 minutes drive iwith its shops and stunning scenery. The west coast is approximately 45 minutes drive and has many beautiful sandy beaches and the North coast is approximately 1 hour with many coves and fantastic beaches to explore.

| This property has 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 twin. 1 double being on the ground floor. There is also a large shower room on the ground floor and a large bathroom with full sized bath with shower over on the first floor both with electric heating . The rooms are of a good size and light and airy. Downstairs there is a separate kitchen which is fully equipped with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, iron, ironing board. The living area has a dining room table and there is comfortable seating in the sitting area with a beautiful large fireplace with a log burner. There is a TV with some English channels, DVD and CD player. | |
Notes on accommodation
Tulip and Rose are very suitable for children. Sheets, duvets and towels are provided but not pool towels. Cleaning materials are also provided.
Accessibility
Rose has a downstairs double bedroom and shower room. The site is flat although there are some steps to the decking area. There is a small step into the cottage and a step from the living area into the kitchen.
Outside
There is a grassed areas for children, one with swings and also a games room with darts and table tennis. All properties have their own patio furniture, barbecue and their own areas to sit in. The decking area has a table and chairs and there are loungers which are shared by the properties. The pool is heated with solar panels and the pool area is enclosed by a safety fence which conforms to French law. We have some board games in the gites and also some outdoor games for children.
Coast/Beach
The west coast is approximately 45 mins drive and has many beautiful sandy beaches and the North coast is approximately 1 hour with many coves and beaches to explore.
Golf
Available in Carhaix (20 kms).
Travel
Brest Airport is 1 hours drive with full car hire facilities, Roscoff is 1 hours drive and St Malo and Dinard are approximately 2 hours drive. The use of a car is essential.
Distances
Collorec 3km. Carhaix is 22km. Huelgoat 12km.
Further details
Carhaix has many large supermarkets, shops, banks, restaurants, kart racing, a bowling alley, an indoor pool with flume and horse riding. There is fishing on the Nante Brest canal which is not far. Huelgoat with its magical forest, beautiful walks and lake is worth visiting it also has restaurants and a supermarket and other small shops. Collorec has a small bar which also sells bread. Plouye is 3 km and there is a shop and also a couple of bars. Chateauneuf de Feu is near with shops, banks, restaurants and supermarkets. From here you can walk along the Nante Brest canal or take a boat trip.

Contact Jane or Russell Bridge for a booking form. A deposit of £75 is payable on booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. A welcome pack containing basic things to start you off is available on request.
Cancellation charges are as follows:- More than 42 days before - Deposit
29-42 days inclusive before start of letting - 50% of total cost
0-28 days inclusive beore start of letting - 100% of total cost

About the owner
We came to France 5 years ago and renovated all the properties over two years. We added a swimming pool in 2006. We like to go walking and belong to a local walking club. We have a few hens and 3 ducks. We like the life here as it is quiet and more laid back.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
It is a very peaceful location and easy to reach both coasts and many of the pretty towns from here. Living here we have the quietness of the countryside but also everything is within easy reach.
Unique benefits of the property
There are walks on the doorstep, we are not far from the major towns in the area. The Nantes Bres Canal is within easy reach as are the North and West Coast.
