Coutet is a stunning country manoir set in 2 acres of gardens, with a private heated pool (June - Aug), also has a pool alarm. Equally suitable for 2-14 guests, the perfect place to relax and unwind. Treat yourself to a special holiday in our fabulous French home. If you are feeling energetic, we have badminton/volleyball, basketball, table tennis and boulles, alternatively you can stroll around the lovely gardens with a glass of wine in hand, whilst your meal is prepared by an excellent cook!

Price includes linen, pool & house towels, tea towels, cookinggas/electricity, one pool clean per week. You are expected to care for our home whilst staying here & leave it in clean and tidy condition. Any additional cleaning deemed necessary by the owner or his Representative over and above the usual end of stay clean will be deducted from Security Deposit. Outside
12m x 6m private heated pool (May-October) with pool alarm. Coutet is set in 2 acres of gardens with a magnificent Plane tree on the front lawn. Some grand old barns surround the courtyard where there is ample parking space. A lovely wall divides the courtyard and gardens which have flower borders and the many trees provide natural shade. We have lots of sport and fun available, with the swimming pool and badminton in the garden and basketball and table tennis in the courtyard. There is a patio with BBQ and teak garden furniture to seat 14, parasols and steamer chairs.
Coast/Beach
Just one and a half hours away is the fresh, beautiful Atlantic coastline. St.-Jean-de-Luz is a chic little fishing port with a long sandy beach, south of the historical resort of Biarritz.
Golf
Play some of the finest golf in SW France, within easy reach of Coutet. 18 holes at Golf de Guinlet championship course near Eauze just 15 minutes from Coutet. Travel 45 minutes west you will find an 18 hole course at Golf de Mont de Marsan. Near Auch (45 mins) the capital town of Gers, discover 18 holes at Golf d'Auch-Embats, afterwards relax and dine in their excellent restaurant. Lourdes (1hr) is probably one of the toughest courses in SW France, built on the side of a mountain adjacent to Lourdes Lake. The Pau-Billere course on the banks of the River Gave provides 5,314 yards of historical golf, built by the British Army in 1856 is the oldest club in continental Europe.
Skiing
Take a day trip to ski in the Pyrenees. La Mongie has direct access to 120km of downhill piste with 39 individual pistes served by 33 ski lifts. La Mongie is part of the Tourmalet Ski Area and is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Barèges. The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Coutet has recently been booked by a personal trainer requiring a tranquil location and large heated pool for a client.
Coutet is ideal for yoga and painting holidays with its calm and beautiful setting. A good number of golf courses are within easy reach and the championship course 'Golf de Guinlet'is just 15 minutes away.
Travel
A car is recommended.
Pau Airport, with Ryanair flights, 45 minutes-1 hour drive from Coutet.
Toulouse (Blagnac), Bordeaux Merignac, Tarbes/Lourdes Airports: one and a half - two hours drive.
St.Malo port 7 hour drive. Caen 9 hours. Le Havre 10 hours drive.
Calais 12 hours.
Distances
Panjas village is just 3 minutes drive, with a post office, small shop for basic provisions, bank and Bistro/Bar.
Nogaro is our nearest town, just 10 minutes away. There are banks, boulangerie supermarkets and Doctor, plus the all important market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Pau is a stylish town 45 minutes South with ancient history, a castle, formal gardens and stylish shops. For a breathtaking sight take a walk along the Boulevard des Pyrenees where the mountains fill the horizon. Pau offers something a little unusual in June when the Grand Prix de Pau Historique, a premier International classic car race takes place around the streets of Pau.
Lourdes; the most visited shrine in Europe is an hour away, take the pilgrimage and see beyond the commercial enterprise.
Auch, capital of Gers is well worth exploring, the Escalier Monumental is a broad stairway of370 steps on which stand an imposing statue of D'Artagnan the dashing and most famous of all Musketeers.
Lac de Luby 80ha of swimming lake with sandy beach, is open in July and August and offers canoeing, pedaloes, windsurfing and childrens play area. Check locally for availability of activities and opening times.
Festivals and fetes are popular in this corner of France but it's great to return to the tranquility of Coutet! Within half an hour's drive you can enjoy the sights and sounds of: country music festival in early July at Mirande;the streets of Vic Fezensac are alive with the sounds of salsa during Tempo Latino at the end of July;Marciac hosts an Internationally reknowned jazz festival two weeks in August.
The Medieval Fete at Montreal du Gers offers great family entertainment, with flame throwing, sword swallowing and tight-rope walking. Traditional French cuisine and wine is available and many crafts are for sale in the town square.
