Between 20 July - 5 September, letting is strictly for a fixed weekly periods from 5pm Saturday - 10am Saturday. (Outside these dates flexible entry dates can be agree, to be calulated at weekly rate divided by 7 times number of days.) July 19 - 26 1 week only at 5% off list price.

Accessibility
The villa is accessible via steps to the front entrance or up a sloping gravel drive to the side. All accommodation is at ground floor level. The pathways around the house are level with access to the pool patio area and summer kitchen via a gentle slope. However, there is a 2.5cm step up to the studio apartment which deters wheelchair access to this.
Outside
8x4x1.6m pool for exclusive private use fitted with solar thermal heating. (Extends the pool season and maintains steady 26-28 degree c ambient temp. Poolside summer kitchen/bar. 2 sets of 4-seater and 1 set of 10-seater patio tables and chairs with parasols. 8 sun loungers. Pool inflatables. The pool is minimum 1.6m deep off the steps (not suitable for small children unless closely supervised and wearing buoyancy aids). Patio and brick chimney charcoal barbecue. 4 adult trail bikes available for guest use, (2 male & 2 female).
Coast/Beach
Within 15 minutes drive from Carcassonne Plage a lakeside beach with swimming and water sports in an a beautiful wooded setting close to the medieval city. 45 minutes drive to Narbonne-Plage on the Med coast with a range of unspoilt coastal resorts and lagoons within close proximity. within 4km of the Canal du Midi.
Skiing
2 hours to Andorra and the Pyrenees. 1.5 hour to Ax-les-Thermes.
Travel
Carcassonne airport only 3.8 km (just over 12 minutes but not on the flight path). Ryanair flights to Stansted, Liverpool and Nottingham. 1 hour drive from Toulouse airport with flights from several UK airports. 1 hour from Perpignan airport with Ryan Air & BMI Baby flights. 12 hours drive to Calais.

Lavalette has a butchers, newsagents, post office general store/greengrocers, hairdressers and a restaurant with take away service. A major hypermarket and out of town shopping area is within 12 mins of the villa. The shopping centre restaurants and cafe's of Carcassonne are less than 20 minutes away and the Medieval walled cite has a wide range of restaurants, bars and tourist shops. Carcassone Plage is within 15 mins with a range of water activities and shady beaches on a lakeside development.
Booking notes
Payment by cheque within 3 weeks of entry. Short notice booking. Deposit of 25% with booking, balance to be cleared into our account prior to receipt of the keys. Bookings within 2 weeks of holiday date to be paid in full prior to entry by electronic transfer. A separate bond of £250 to be paid by cheque against breakages, losses and damage. Bond will be returned un-cashed witin 2 week of vacating the property providing there are no losses, breakages or damage during the tenancy.
