On the first floor there is a comfortable lounge area with a warming log fire. The lounge has a high vaulted ceiling and is tastefully decorated with relics from bygone alpine years including a collection of cow bells hanging on a beam across the ceiling. There is ample seating, complimented by a TV/DVD and CD player.
From the dining room you can gaze at those amazing views whilst smelling the gorgeous aromas of your food being prepared. The four bedrooms are traditionally alpine and fitted with the same gorgeous dark wood that you will find throughout the chalet. On the first floor, the lovely double room has an ensuite bathroom with bath/shower and WC. A small bunk bed room on this floor can share the bathroom with the double, perfect for a family of four. On the second floor there is one double and one twin room which share a bathroom with bath/shower and WC. There is a bed in the Den area on the mezzanine an extra person.

Notes on accommodation
As well as fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers, we add small extras like complimentary relaxing essential oils for the bath and candles for the ultimate chillout experience.

On the ground floor there is a ski rack and boot warmers to ensure your boots dry out over night ready for your day’s skiing in comfort. Please refer to the floor plans when booking as you may wish to select a particular room or floor. The chalet has copious amounts of hot water. The chalet is non-smoking, smoking is permitted on the balcony. Your Chalet Hosts eat dinner with you and live in a self contained apartment on the lower ground floor.

Our chalets are suitable for individuals, couples, small or large groups or families and corporate breaks. We are able to offer holidays for larger groups of up to 42 in our three chalets in La Rosiere which are very close to one another. If you are a smaller group, a chalet holiday is a great way to meet new friends. Everybody is welcome!

Accessibility
Not suitable for people with mobility problems. Chalet is situated above the road.

Outside
La Rosiere, a delightful winter and summer resort in the Tarentaise valley in France. La Rosière is a wonderfully attractive well-kept French secret. It has a lovely traditional rustic Savoyard feel with low rise chalet-style accommodation built mostly in wood and stone. With 150km of pistes, La Rosière is part of the large Espace San Bernardo, linked to La Thuile in Italy since 1984.

Coast/Beach
Summer Holidays available: The Tarentaise valley in the Rhone-Alps region of France is a beautiful place for a perfect summer holiday, with warm temperatures throughout July and August in the mid 70’s. The valley offers spectacular and lush scenery, with wild flowers, fresh mountain air and a multitude of leisure activities for all tastes and age groups.

Golf
9 hole golf course in the summer. Other activities include: White Water Rafting, Hydrospeeding, Canyoning, Kayak-Raft, Kayak, Swimming, Adventure Park, Quad Biking, Horseriding, Archery, Tennis, Fishing, Motorbike Itineraries, Local Market, Fitness Centre, Visit to Beaufort Cheese Factory in Bourg St-Maurice, Tour of Mont Blanc by Helicopter, Walking Tours to the Mont Blanc, Walking, Hiking, Mountain Bike Trails, Rock Climbing, Via Ferrata, Painting, Paragliding. Summer Skiing in Tignes, Day trip to Annecy, picnic by the lake, Day trip to Italy.

Skiing
In our experience and compared to the other better known resorts, La Rosière is exceptionally well suited to beginners and intermediates, with plenty of wide-open cruisey reds and blues. There are several gentle slopes running back into La Rosière which make that last run home nice and easy. More advanced skiers will also find the area to their liking, with some challenging reds and blacks. The most testing ski area is the Touraisse sector, which also has some of the best off-piste. Wannabe powder hounds will find a lot of ungroomed areas in between the pistes and real powder jockeys will love the possibilities offered by the north facing wooded slopes in La Thuile.

Special interest holidays
Ski Hosting… Just think, you go out onto the mountain on the first day of your holiday. You haven’t skied since last year and you are in an unfamiliar resort. You keep looking at your piste map, you don’t know where to go for lunch and you don’t know which lifts to take.

Relax and enjoy your first few days with our complimentary Ski Hosting service. It is our pleasure to show you the beauty of our resort and we love skiing with you. We make sure that on the first day you rediscover your ski legs without overdoing it. We show you where to find all the local amenities, the ski school meeting points, local restaurants and bars, where to find a newspaper, the chemist and the supermarket. On the piste we will show you different gradient runs and recommend some of our favourites. On the second day we will take you over the border into Italy and back (passports not required!). The third day is up to you, we can take you to a neighbouring resort.

Travel
Your transfers to and from the chalet are complimentary! (Conditions apply). Most people find travelling by air the most convenient method of getting to and from the Alps. The Eurostar train is a great way of travelling and it can be a time efficient and hassle free journey. There is ample parking for those wishing to self-drive.

Distances
The main centre is only a 5-10 mins walk or bus from the chalet. We operate a private minibus shuttle service to take you the short distance to the slopes.

Further details
Scrumptious cuisine and delightful wines. We are as passionate about food as we are about skiing! You can be rest assured of consistently high quality, healthy, delicious meals with SnowCrazy. Almost all our food is homemade, including kiddie’s meals, the croissants are made by a traditional French bakery and baked fresh in the chalet. We believe in steaming vegetables where possible to retain their vitamin and mineral content and garnish to enhance their flavours. None of the ingredients we use are GM and all ingredients are bought locally with the minimum of packaging.

We aim to provide you with nutritionally balanced delicious meals. We have been preparing chalet meals for the last four seasons in the French Alps and have always had compliments about our food, so be prepared for mouth-watering food every day. You can expect a high standard of cuisine, with attention being paid to the quality of the ingredients which will always be fresh, chosen by us. We cater for all kinds of diets: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free etc. just let us know your requirements.

Wines direct from a local vineyard...this year we are bringing you organically produced local Savoie wines from Domaine Saint-Germain. Some delightful wines such as Chardonnay, Gamay and Mondeuse, produced with passion and care.

Child-friendly resort. La Rosiere has won the accolade of ‘Famille Plus Montagne' which is awarded to resorts who specialise in welcoming families and their children. The selection is very strict, based on a 9 point Quality Charter with criteria relating to safety requirements, teaching methods, medical cover in resort, a ‘lost child’ service, sheltered areas and good quality facilities in crèches, nurseries and kindergartens.
