Situated on the Grande Rue in the heart of Le Dorat, La Petite Fontaine is a charming B&B with historical features from medieval times. It is a perfect base for holidays in the beautiful Limousin area. We have an art gallery for the art lovers and a salon de thé, where you can sit on the terrace and watch the world go by. You will receive a warm welcome from Jonathan & Lynn Cameron-Millar who moved to France from Aberdeenshire in Scotland.

The Lomond - A tastefully furnished room which has 2 comfortable single beds, and a view of a typical French street looking towards the collégiale.

The Argyll - A charming and relaxing double room with spectacular views across the medieval town.

The Strathspey - A tastefully furnished cosy double room.

 

Notes on accommodation
All rooms have heating & fans, we can provide an extra bed on request in the Argyll room. We also provide a separate guest lounge which is equipped with a fridge, and tea & coffee making facilities, a sitting area and also a dining area. This room also has a spectacular view over the town. Guests are welcome to use this room if you want to eat in, or prepare your picnic lunch, also to relax after a days sightseeing.

Outside
La Petite Fontaine has a Salon de Thé with a terrace on the Grande Rue.

There are beaches at the nearby Lac de St Pardoux 20 mins from Le Dorat.

Golf
There are golf courses within 50kms (Limoges & St Junnien).

Special interest holidays
La Petite Fontaine offers courses on stained glass and various crafts. The courses are run by well known scottish artist Lynn Cameron-Millar.

Travel
Le Dorat is half way between Limoges & Poitiers airports approx 45 mins drive, both of which have car hire facilities. Le Dorat also has a train station 5 mins from La Petite Fontaine, which connects to Limoges & Poitiers. From Poitiers you can take the TGV to Paris.
