Panoramic views from the living room look across towards the stunning Gorge du Verdon and Lac de St Croix, just 10 minutes drive away. Guests can enjoy a heated swimming pool, tennis court and boules pitch - all located within the idyllic grounds of the chateau. The apartment itself is comfortable and full of character, with beams and Provencal tiles. There is everything you need to make a really relaxing and enjoyable stay in this beautiful part of Provence.

| Other: | Storage cupboard with sports equipment, including tennis rackets and boules set. Guests also have access to garden furniture and barbeque, kept in the Chateau basement. |

House linen is provided. The caretaker looks after general maintenance of the Chateau. |

Swimming pool is heated during Spring/Summer. Central heating available for winter months.
Outside
The grounds of the Chateau are tended by the caretaker, and provide a wonderful setting for relaxing in the sunshine. Guests can use the tennis court, heated swimming pool and boules pitch. Alternatively, you can settle down with a glass of wine and a good book on the large lawns.
Coast/Beach
The nearby Lac de St Croix is a large lake with quiet beaches and facilities for windsurfing, sailing, fishing, cycling or horse-riding. The resorts of the Cote D'Azur are about 90 minutes away.
Golf
The nearest golf course is about 40 minutes drive.
Travel
Nice, Avignon, Toulon and Marseilles airports are all about 90 minutes drive. Car hire is essential. There is parking on the grounds of the Chateau.
Distances
St Laurent is a tiny, peaceful village, surrounded by gorgeous Provencal countryside. It is the ideal setting for relaxing in the sunshine or taking long country walks. Within 20 minutes drive are colourful local markets, medieval hilltop villages, good restaurants, vineyards, a fascinating archeological museum designed by Sir Norman Foster, and the stunning Gorge du Verdon. Larger towns like Aix en Provence and Draguignan are about an hour away.

The Haute Provence region is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt in France, and St Laurent provides the perfect base for any number of fascinating excursions: drive around the spectacular Gorge du Verdon, take the historic mountain train from Dignes to Nice, or visit the charming market towns of Riez and Aups. More sporty guests will enjoy the many opportunities for water-sports at the Lac de St Croix. Or you may wish to just get away from it all amongst the beautiful forests, lakes and lavender fields.

Gaynor Clark, a Pharmacist living in Devon, and her two sons have owned this lovely apartment for 12 years. Home is in Devon where Gaynor lives with her dog a Springer Spaniel, William! Gaynor's eldest son Alistair and his wife live near Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Her other son Stuart his wife and two grandchildren Jack and Jessica live in Singapore. We hope you decide to share the delights of this lovely chateau and the beautiful surroundings of rural Provence.
This is a beautifull area giving you an authentic taste of French rural life... many local market towns within a radius of 5 to 10 miles selling regional and seasonal products ......a range of restaurants from the simple provencal home cooking to the more sophisticated such as Alain Ducas restaurant near Moustiers......

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Although no more than 5 to 15 minutes from many towns and hilltop villages this is a peaceful location wonderful for relaxing in the grounds of the chateau or taking many delightful walks through the countryside and around the many lakes in the area. Uncrowded experience a slower pace of life but plenty of rural exercise if you want it including tennis, boules, horse riding, sailing,climbing....details in the apartment at the chateau.

My apartment has a good library of books, DVDS, great choice of music CDs, games,TV.......and equipment for you to play tennis, boules. Also Picnic set and barbecue.
